Good quality burger. Friendly staff. Reasonable value considering the quality of the dead animal. Fries are standard. Not bad but equally nothing to write home about. Drinks are good. Now that the quality of hub shack has dropped I would argue it is the best burger close to the city centre. We ate here for the first time this evening and were very impressed from the moment we entered. We were greeted and taken to our table by a really friendly member of staff I think his name was Chris. The restaurant was empty at the time so service was super quick, we ordered our drinks whilst looking at the various items on the menu. We loved the music that was playing btw! Seriously delicious burgers, dirty fries and fully loaded fries went down a treat, so too did the very strong mojito! Fab burgers... 5 of us at the table that evening and I think we all got a different choice. Excellent all round. Plus they do their own cocktails including an infused gin that I tried. Highly recommend.

As a vegetarian I wasn't sure what to expect from this kind of small burger place on the outskirts of the town centre, but I was very impressed by the look and feel of the place, the entertaining and extensive menu and of course the quality of the food. I was tempted my the humorous named "Boom, Boom, shake the shroom" but due to my utter hatred of mushrooms I instead went for the "Green Cow" which was a very tasty vegetable burger with a beetroot base giving it the colour. Myself and my friend opted for the lunchtime special which gave fries and slaw for a discounted package price. The sweet potato fries were tasty and the slaw was OK but I wouldn't say it was much to write home about, but as part of the deal I suppose it was OK.The member of staff (Saturday 5th October) was very friendly and professional. As a business owner myself I was very impressed that she was intrigued how we had heard of Meat59 since we'd earlier told her it was our first time at the restaurant. Perhaps this is part of formal staff process, but it did seem a really genuine question which I thought was a useful thing to ask customers. More...
