I started working with Chris at the start of November after being a regular gym goer for a few years and feeling like I’d plateaued. Chris was helpful from the start in helping me align my goals and understand how to achieve those goals. Chris is a great personal trainer that helps ensure you get the right form and pushes me much further than I thought I could go. He’s also helped massively on the nutritional side of things - the area I was struggling in the most!! Setting me targets and goals to achieve my objective. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis a year ago and suffered with pain in my hands, wrists and elbows and I struggled to put my socks on but thanks to Chris at Mean and Lean I am able to train again. He worked patiently with me to create a training program that allows me to build muscle but doesn't impact my Arthritis. More...

I’ve done a few of Chris’s classes via Facebook live. Chris caters for all levels so whether you’re a beginner or advanced you can take classes at the pace you like. Chris is inventive too so if you don’t have the correct sports equipment like dumbbells, he offers everyday objects as suggestions! I’m generally a fit person but have found Chris’s classes can still challenge me and give me those ‘good’ body aches for a few days which means you know the exercises are working! Thanks Chris. I started with Chris last year, 6 weeks before my upcoming holiday. He set out a realistic and achievable plan for me to lose inches and tone up in such a short timescale. I was too nervous to go to a gym and I’d never done any weight training before. Chris was brilliant, he pushed and really encouraged me to stay on track / keep focused throughout. I can’t believe how good I felt for it and how much confidence id built up over such a short period of time. I would definitely recommend to anyone, especially if your new to this environment! I started training with Chris 4 weeks before my wedding, I needed to tone, lose inches and I wanted nutritional advice. He put me on a plan and I started training straight away. Even though this may have been a challenge, Chris was great about the time scales and he knew he could help me. I love my training sessions because I’ve always completed cardio and been a runner in the past but this training completely different to what I’ve done before and has given me confidence to push myself and exceed. There are parts of the training I’ve never ever done before and I thoroughly enjoy it plus I was thrilled with the results just before the wedding! The dress fitted perfectly! Chris is a great guy to train with, knows the goals you want to hit and keeps you to them. He is really encouraging and is always polite and professional and totally dedicated to the health and fitness of all his clients. I’ve been training with Chris now for around 4 months and I can safely say it’s the best thing I’ve decided to do. I’d hit 45 and was feeling generally out of shape and lacking drive in my life. Since starting my training I’ve felt invigorated and have really started to see the results in the mirror! Don’t think this is a walk in the park though as Chris will push you and expect you to put the work in through his personalised workout plans that he sends. Overall Chris is a really friendly top guy that genuinely cares about your goals and aspirations and will ensure you get there. Can’t recommend him enough. More...
