Maven Dogs

I called maeve in when my puppy Labradoodle was just 11 weeks old. I’m a first time dog owner and needed advise on having my puppy around small children due to the nature of my work. The tips she gave were very useful she taught me what I could expect from such a young dog, she has a non judgemental and very calm approach. Naturally my puppy was biting a fair bit - Maeve taught me ways to reduce this. What was really useful was teaching him to wait until food is offered to him. We first used Maeve with our male Labrador. He stayed with her while we were on holiday. He was a dog who could be reactive but I felt confident that he was in good hands with Maeve. She is totally on the ball with training and dog behaviour and really knows what a dog needs. With Maeve you are getting very specialised care and a loving home environment. He had a brilliant stay with her while we were away. Maeve also stepped in to help us out when we were all isolating with Covid. We’d sadly lost our first dog and now have a young female lab. Despite never having been walked by anyone other than family she happily trotted off with Maeve who had spent time getting to know her in the garden. She loved Maeve and was all waggy tailed when she turned up the next day. Maeve is unusual in the dog walking world. She doesn’t walk big packs of dogs but does either individual or small groups so that the dogs get what they need. And if she boards your dog they are in a loving family environment with Buster as a permanent playmate, what more could you want. Highly recommend. More...

Maeve has looked after our tricky miniature daschund many times and has given us wonderful advice about sleep training and discipline. Maeve has looked after our golden retriever over 3/4 nights at her home on 2 occasions and each time he has had such a splendid time. While we were away, we were kept up to date with his welfare with texts and photos which was very reassuring. Would always go to Maeve first when looking for overnight care for our dog - thoroughly recommend!! More...
