I thought I understood LR but DIDN'T. Mary's classes on the LR Catalogue is where you should start. She has a fantastic knowledge and great way of teaching. It all makes sense now..... And she provides additonal notes and video recordings of the lessons so you can go back to a subject you need to refresh. More...

My son needed head shots, he has ASD and I was concerned he could manage a full shoot. Mary was lovely, very professional but above all she was amazing with my son. Very empathetic and friendly. Mary explained what she was doing and made sure my son felt involved. Mary included me in the conversations and my son was very calm. I have used Lightroom for about 7 months now, I started to get into all sorts of problems, loosing photos, lost information etc. Then I saw Mary's Lightroom for beginners course advertised. I contacted Mary and explained my situation. To her credit she found time from her busy schedule to come to my home and help me find lost photos,etc. I was impressed with her knowledge of Lightroom so I signed up for the course. It was very interesting and complicated but Mary demonstrated her skill and knowledge of the programme with lots of very explanatory free handouts and a large projector screen and showed why it is so important to import and record and store your photos correctly. The course is very thorough and covers all aspects of the basics of Lightroom. I was not surprised to find that my ignorance of the subject caused me so many problems. I would not hesitate to recommend Mary's Lightroom for beginners to anyone, it is great and so is Mary. She is a very helpful caring Lady. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The secret is to connect with your subject wether it be a dog or a person and to be in control of your equipment. To be friendly and patient and when photographing children you need to be as silly and you need to be to get the shot.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What do you Hope to achieve from our photo shoot. What is the main reason for the shoot. Is there anything you do not want to happen.
What do you love most about your job?
I just love to have my camera in my hand, I love to connect with people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Other people made the decision for me as I persuaded too take my photography further.
