This is the second time we've used Martin Redston and Associates. They are very efficient and professional. I would highly recommend them.

We used Martin Redston for an structural assessment as we want to do some changes in the layout of our house, removing internal and altering external walls.
They have produced a good very comprehensive report for us with all the calculations needed to support the required walls. This report and drawings can now be used to apply for building control.
They were very professional, and, although it took a bit of chasing to get the survey done, we are happy with the result and we were not so much in a rush.
We also thought their price was very reasonable compared to other firms which are not even chartered.
I would recommend it to my friends, no doubt about it.

You won’t find a superior, more qualified and aimiable engineer than Martin. He has a plethora of knowledge and experience that takes decades to amass. What’s more, he’s always available to talk things through and will continuously ensure you are aware what the most economical options are for your steel configurations. We all want to lose the columns and open things out, but that comes at a cost. Martin makes sure you are aware not only of the additional cost in steel, but also the additional construction costs (deeper foundations requiring shuttering, necessity for a crane etc). They answered my questions regarding the engineering portion of our loft work in a language that I could understand.
