What makes a great website?
There are many things which make a great web site. Of course it has to look visually good, but also has to work well and usability is very important.
There is nothing worse than a web site where you can't find what you are looking for and wind up going around in circles trying to find it. The click count to anywhere on the site should be kept to a minimum. This is simply a case of structuring and categorising parts of site effectively.
In this day and age web sites are often viewed on mobile phones over mobile networks. It is important to optimise the site to minimise the bandwidth in this case. How many sites have you given up on trying to download when out and about?
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
That really depends on the project, but it's good to understand the target demographic for any web site or app. That will influence many fundamental decisions.
What do you love most about your job?
Putting something together and seeing it work! I believe in reducing work for people so they have time to do other things.
