Dominic provided a a captivating, yet educational seminar on pickpocketing and pickpocketing prevention. Extremely professional, and entertaining too. Will most certainly be hiring him for future events. Also stayed well beyond the time required for this event - free of charge.

There appears to be little information on the structure of Dom's anti-pickpocketing seminars on his website, but for those who are curious, he was very willing and flexible to accommodate his seminar according to our specifications. The seminar was structured as follows:

Section 1 -

• Speaker's background/experience and the difference between pickpocketing for entertainment and actual theft

• Theft talk/Pickpocketing in London

• Likely places people can be pickpocketed

• Personal stories from the speaker of people they know who got pickpocketed, and how they avoided being pickpocketed using these techniques.

• Early prevention, and additional equipment suggestions for personal equipment safely (special phone cases/lanyards, etc).

• What to do if you are the victim of pickpocketing.

• Opportunity for people to share their own personal experiences, and how to avoid being in these scenarios in the future

Section 2  - Pickpocketing demonstrations

This covered the most common/likely pickpocketing scenarios, plus a couple of fun ones if time permits (e.g. a tie steal). Each demonstration was then followed by a detailed explanation of the techniques used, further followed by a discussion on how to stop/prevent being pickpocketed in these scenarios. The audience was then allowed to break off into groups and practice the moves/re-enact the situations on eachother, before regrouping for the next demonstration/technique. The techniques/situations taught included the following:

• Front pocket steal of phone and wallet (two variations)

• Back pocket steal of phone/wallet

• Pocket steals with blazer (outside and inside pockets)

• Seated phone/wallet steal to simulate when someone approaches you with a distraction question while you are seated in a public place, such as a cafe.

• Tie steal

• Watch steal

Section 3 - Audience Q&A + Wrapping up/final words

Overall a great experience. Lifelong practical skills learned from a friendly professional. Will definitely hire next Winter.

Q&As

I've been interested in magic for well over 10 years and in every aspect of the art form mind reading to illusions sleight of hand and even escapology am a member of the magic circle an award winning magician and a full time professional magician

I scroll group to group show people close up magic getting them to engage talking hopefully having fun i normally give away sign playing cards and other props i use in my performances people are welcome to film me generally speaking am use as the ultimate ice breaker and funny talking point

its was my childhood dream to be a magician I love the reactions and looks on peoples faces when there brains shut down the fact that everyone always happy to see me. i like meeting people in generally so being able to share my magic with them is just an add bonus to me i think I'd have to say I enjoy most about it is turning some who is initially sceptical to someone who loves magic there nothing better!

it wasn't that I decide to start my own business its more that I keep on getting book to do events and people would ask me what I charge and at a certain point I just had to learn about business i love being self employ and earning my living solely form magic

there are plenty of magicians to chose from a lot of them are good at what they do all I can tell you is that i pride myself on being an intelligent performer making a connection with people I obviously wat to amaze people but I don't make cheap jokes or pull strange gags unless its really funny. I don't just see this as my job but as my pride and joy and I will do what ever it take to keep your guest happy laughing and most of all entertain

I don't do zoom shows i will however do a zoom meeting with anyone who would like to book me but want to see me in action first

i can perform all my magic hands free and were a face mask on request I do have a few covid Thame tricks that i do on request
