I knew of Maddy through a mutual friend who had always spoken very highly of her. When I told him I was at the tail end of some limited success through Weight Watchers, but had grown tired of the constant burden of dieting, he recommended I get in touch.
Maddy and I have been working together for a year now and I have managed to reduce my weight by almost two stone.

Instead of counting calories, Maddy asked me about my thoughts, feelings and reactions to food (or lack thereof). She taught me about nutrition, what the body needs, and the signals I’d lost touch with. She gave me achievable goals, such as to balance my food group ratios, to change my plate size, to bring routine into my eating. We have explored many different tactics, which have taught me what works and what doesn’t for me.

A lot has happened over the last year of working with Maddy - a break-up, bereavements, a promotion, a new relationship, his cancer diagnosis, and a multitude of different moods! Maddy was there for me through them all – flexible on the cadence of our meetings, non-judgemental, supportive and encouraging, no matter what.

We have laughed, smiled, reflected and spoken deeply during our sessions. Through working with Maddy, instead of dieting I am rewriting the relationship I have with my body and food, and learning every step of the journey.

Thank you, Maddy.

After years of attempting fad diets with temporary success, I can honestly say that Maddy has changed my relationship with food. Maddy has been a huge support & has provided a relaxed, professional and safe space for me to dig deep & understand my food triggers. She has given me the tools to make the right choices without counting calories, points or syns! Instead of quick weight loss fixes, leading to more gains, I am losing weight at a steady pace. I had always thought I would always need to diet; Maddy has freed me from this thought. More...

Maddie has been incredibly helpful to me. She is very non-judgemental and easy to talk to. She offers so much more support than a meal plan. Anyone can tell you to eat more salad and less crisps. If that knowledge alone was a magic bullet nobody would ever have a weight issue. Her approach is psychosocial and holistic. She treats the person, their circumstances, their relationship with food and not the content of the plate. More...

What a wonderful comment, thank you so much! I firmly believe someone's weight is rarely what they it, but rather why they eat. It's been an absolute pleasure working with you - it's great to be alongside you on the journey!

Q&As

A healthy diet is important for many reasons. It can help to improve energy levels, mood, and focus. It can also help to protect against conditions such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. While there are many factors that contribute to a person’s overall health, what we eat is one of the most important. That’s why it’s so important to make sure that we are eating a variety of healthy foods every day. When we do, we are giving our bodies the nutrients they need to function at their best. And when our bodies are healthy, we are more likely to feel our best, too.

There are many aspects of my job that I enjoy, but what I love most is helping people. It can be very fulfilling to know that I am making a positive difference in someone's life. I often feel like I am empowering people to take control of their own lives and make positive changes. This is something that I am very passionate about, and it is one of the main reasons why I chose this career. helping people is a huge part of my job, and I am grateful that I get to do what I love every day.

After years of working in the NHS I became frustrated with the limitations of the service. I could only see clients for 20 minutes once every three months - how is that helpful to people? So I decided to start my own business offering more thorough and frequent support at affordable prices. I love being able to work with a variety of clients on a daily basis. It's challenging, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Every day, I wake up excited to go to work and see what the day will bring.

The reason why clients choose me is my expertise in both psychology and nutrition and dietetics. Why they stay with me is because I am a kind and compassionate practitioner who doesn't judge people for the choices they make. We work in partnership to create a better life together.

I run my appointments online/remotely so you can join from the comfort of your own home. I find that people are a lot more relaxed in their own surroundings and they don't have to travel to get to the appointment - it's a win-win!
