We were both Disappointed tonight, with our visit. We've been many times before. We ended up in the attic tonight. Its poorly lit and has no atmosphere. The candles on the tables remained unlit. There was no more finesse, no pride and dirty serviettes that cutlery is now wrapped in, not placed in tables. The cutlery was all mismatched. Very sloppy. The 1st serviette that grated us, I observed immediately was dirty, as I sat down and the gentleman waiter went to get another. You would think he'd check it before handing it to me. Alas no and when opened to take out my cutlery, I found the washed remains of someone else's food. There wasnt enough hand sanitisation stations and staff were not wearing any PPE when changing table cloths between guests, no washing their hands before laying the next set of fresh linen. One member of staff frequently touched their glasses and mouth. Cleanliness is paramount at the best of times but we are still riding in this pandemic, so more care is needed. The food.... Served in a timely manner and as good as always. The female waitress we had was knowledgeable and attentive. This once salubrious establishment, has lost its sparkle for us, very sadly. Delivery did not arrive in allocated time. Full order was not delivered and when phoned, their only resolution was for us to wait another 40 mins for the missing items! We did not want to wait as what we did have was already cold, so we did not receive the missing items. Small portions. Would not use again. More...

I ordered a tandoori chicken rolls for starter. I love the texture and the smokey aroma, goes great with the mongoose beer and made me nostalgic about home. In the main course a South Indian garlic chilli chicken and garlic naan. The chicken was soft and the gravy was tangy. I expected to be more spicy but it was good. Received my first delivery of beautiful (and plentiful) dishes from Maazi Matlock Everything hot and fresh. Lots of flavour, good spicing and the Rhangey Raita I ordered (just in case there was too much spiciness) provided a refreshing counterpoint to the anticipated heat of some dishes. There are plentyof choices on the delivery menu to go through before the current Covid-19 'lockdown' ends, when we will be able to sample the delights of the restaurant menu too. More...

Absolute best curry house I have ever had the pleasure of dining in. I moved away for 4 years & now I’m back I am happy to be eating here again, ecstatic that they now deliver take-away.
