They guys replied to my emergency call out at 4 pm on Saturday. Over the phone, we made an arrangement for them to come and visit the property and to give me a quote. Three chaps arrived at 7:30 am on Sunday. Spent 30 minutes estimating the work. They gave us the quote higher than our previous plasterers (who I assume ran away because they underestimated the work needed to be done once the wallpaper was stripped). We shook hands on the quote and by afternoon the Artex ceilings were gone. After 4 days the whole job was closed and I asked them to leave earlier, as we needed to leave the house earlier than anticipated, so they have not had enough time to clean the house perfectly. They covered as much area as possible, but everyone knows that plastering is a dirty job, so you cannot expect the whole house to be super clean after the job. It needs several cleaning sessions to be spotless again. The walls were left very soft, straight and with a professional look. My Victorian house is getting some fresh breath of air. Cannot wait for it to dry so I can start decorating. The price was really fair for the job they have done. Really pleased. More...
