Lough House Boarding Kennels

Couldn't speak highly enough about this fantastic kennel! We were reluctant to leave Honey anywhere, with her being a very nervous rescue dog. We knew straight away we'd hit gold when we visited Lough House though. Honey is very happy to stay at the kennels and comes home happy & relaxed. I was a little nervous about putting our dog Hugo in the kennels at all at first, but as soon as I went for a look around Kevin and Louise put all my worries to rest! They are amazing with the dogs and the kennels are very clean and the dogs get lots of attention! As soon as they met Hugo they treated him as one of their own. Picked up very happy, healthy whippet and terrier after a 6 night stay. Very pleased that our young whippet hadn't lost any condition during his stay, he obviously enjoyed his stay as much as Molly always does

We used this kennels for our 2 dogs 2 weeks in august. Brilliant kennels with a lovely atmosphere very friendly. Very secure and clean and you can tell each dog is given loads of care ,attention and time. Would defo recommend and will be using again next year xx More...

Finding Lough House Kennels was a very happy accident. My two energetic lurchers have been day boarding with Kevin and Louise for two weeks and it's clear that they absolutely love coming to stay. The dogs are treated in a home from home manner as well as being very well respected - a rarity in most boarding kennels.

I was worried about putting Penny, my 5 month old Labrador in kennels for a weekend stay seeing as she is still a puppy.
I needn't have.
She was looked after well and came back looking lovely and healthy. No signs of missing me at all.

We luckily found this little haven by chance last year . Our regular kennels were fully booked so we started our search for a kennel that would be right for our dogs . we looked around a few and I was beginning to feel very disheartened /anxious that we would never find one that I could totally trust with my fur babies. when we came across a sign for lough house. I rang the number on the sign and was told that I could go and have a look right away (others gave me a day / time to go ) we arrived minutes later to a clean, smell free ,and very friendly kennels ran by Kevin and louise. All the dogs that were in their care were happy .I knew instantly that this was the only kennels for my dogs . I am glad that my instinct was spot on . A year later I have just picked up my babies today and they have had the time of their lives they look healthy ,they don't smell of kennels and I can tell they have been getting lots of exercise as they are very calm .I would recommend this kennel to all . We have used Lough House kennels for years and can't recommend Kevin and Louise enough. When we arrive our two dogs are always excited to greet them (says it all really) the boys come back from their holidays smelling clean, they have never had that horrible kennel smell you get at other places. Having dogs as part of your family you want to know that they are safe and looked after on their holidays so you can enjoy yours. The owners, Kevin & Louise really take care of my dogs as if they were their own. With plenty of attention and free play times in the enclosed paddock. Excellent boarding kennels! We wouldn't take Ruby anywhere else. Kevin & Louise look after Ruby if she was one of their own. The kennels are spotless and Ruby gets plenty of exercise in the paddock. We have used other kennels before and when we've picked her up we've had to bath her as she smelt of urine, you don't get that from lough house. Brilliant kennel. If my dog could talk he'd say it too. He does when he goes by wagging the whole of his body not just his tail! ! He never gives us a second glance because he's off playing with Kevin in the paddock. We put our two terrier in to Lough house a couple of weeks ago, one of the terrier suffers slightly from separation anxiety and doesn't like being away from us. When we returned i am not sure she actually wanted to come back with us as she was having such a great time at the Kennels. We have two Labradors that are full of beans and they have stayed here a couple of times now and both dogs run to the gates to be greeted by Louise and Kevin who are fantastic with them. They have just stayed for nearly three weeks this time and the kennels are fab, they're well cleaned and looked after and every dogs needs are catered for. We recently discovered Lough House through recommendations and were not disappointed. What an amazing place to take your 'furry babies'! The facility is immaculate; the dogs are pampered; the people are compassionate; and the care they receive is above and beyond expectations. Never! Have I ever been in a kennel where you did not smell urine and poo. This place is immaculate!! And, first time ever when I picked up my dogs that I didn't need to go home and immediately give them baths. They are exercised four times a day!!! Other than the extremely bumpy drive (which is actually owned by the farmer not the kennel) this place is top notch!! Kevin and Louise....well done!! Penny, Molly and Max love your place!!! More...
