About

I am a highly experienced and qualified teacher and tutor, with over 20 years working in the education industry.
Having extensive teaching experience of 4-11 year old students within a primary curriculum, as well as ks3 - ks5 students with varying levels special educational needs, I am able to teach all subjects up to year 7 mainstream curriculum, as well as functional skills and Entry level qualifications/accreditations.

As a senior teacher, I also have many years experience in supporting adult learners through being a mentor/ coach for trainee teachers and Teaching Assistants when completing work based qualifications.

My tuition style is very much student focused - I find out what their strengths and areas for development are and then use a target focused bespoke curriculum plan to support them to make both progress and increased confidence. I tutor students with the focus of not just academic progress, but also self-esteem, self-confidence and a love for learning for students of all ages and abilities.

My SEN teaching experience includes successfully teaching children and young people with a wide range of disabilities and learning needs, varying my teaching approach as required to engage and meet their learning style.

Due to my work & home locations I am able to provide tuition in Birmingham areas after school hours in term time or South Staffordshire/Telford/Wolverhampton & surrounding areas in the evenings and school holidays.
