At Lion Focus we are about helping our clients not only achieve physical goals but arguably more importantly achieving their mental health goals as well. Healthy Mind, Healthy Body – the two are intrinsically linked.
A lot of personal trainers will work with you based purely on image related goals with tag lines of “Six pack in six weeks”, “Get shredded for the summer” and “Lose weight quick” without looking at developing mental confidence, happiness as well as a focussed and driven individual.

Services

The first step - Initial Enquiry
After receiving your initial enquiry either via our website, telephone or social media, your local trainer will contact you to better understand you and your motivators for having personal training sessions. He will then schedule a in person consultation with you so we can turn those motivators into realities. We find the best place for an initial consultation is anywhere you feel relaxed and can meet you at your home, gym, a coffee shop etc. Just let your trainer know where is best for you and we will get it scheduled. At Lion Focus we want to be as flexible as possible to work around your lifestyle and commitments. We work early mornings, late evenings, weekends and bank holidays in order to accommodate our clients personal training commitments.

The second step - The Consultation
The purpose of the consultation is to better understand you, your current fitness levels, your goals, your training preferences as well as any concerns you may have so we can tailor make our sessions to be enjoyable, progressive and challenging. We do not believe in a one size fits all approach to personal training sessions and aim for our sessions to be varied and structured always with the client in mind. This is also an opportunity to talk one on one with your trainer and ask any questions or worries you may have about Personal Training or embarking on a journey of improvement. All our trainers are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable so you will feel in very safe hands. Once all your questions are answered your trainer will discuss the Personal Training session structure and what you can expect in your first session. They will discuss what equipment provided and what you will be using as well as what we require you to provide yourself (correct clothing, water, etc). They will then go through and complete all the necessary safety paperwork with you so that when we see you for your first session we can crack straight on!

The third step - Personal Training Sessions
Our Personal Training sessions are designed to improve your mental and physical health with fun, varied and challenging tasks using a variety of equipment provided by us for you. The equipment on offer includes battle ropes, dumbbells, kettlebells, rowing machines, slam balls, sandbags, abdominal machines and many more to make sure we can cater to your goals and make ever session different and exciting for you our client. After completing your workout you will have time to discuss Nutrition as well as fitness plans to complete yourself. This makes sure you are always pushing towards your goals and improving your mental and physical health outside of our sessions to achieve a healthier and happier you. Our session times are flexible to work around you and your lifestyle and are adaptable from 121 Personal Training Sessions, to couples and small groups to make sure we can accommodate whatever you would like and feel would be most beneficial. We can also offer Hybrid Coaching to take advantage of our Online packages to keep you on track remotely should you wish us to and require more focus and accountability.

The fourth step - Healthier and Happier you
The goal of our Personal Training Sessions is to improve your mental and physical health to give you the knowledge, confidence and ability to live a better, happier lifestyle. Although we may see you in person once or twice a week our goal is that you feel better in yourself all the time. By improving your fitness and having more knowledge on nutrition and exercise you will become a better and stronger version of you that can break boundaries you never thought possible. The benefits of training with us is that we never stop pushing you to grow and will alter and structure our sessions with you accordingly in order to make sure you never stop improving. You may have a challenge in mind whether to lose weight, tone up, build muscle or run a marathon. At Lion Focus we can not only help you take the first step towards that future but also keep taking those steps to smash those goals and improve everyday.

The first step – The Introductory Meeting
Once we have a time scheduled, Lion Focus will send you a meeting invitation via Microsoft Teams, Zoom or if you would feel more comfortable, it can be over the phone. The purpose of this meeting is to understand you as an individual. This allows us to form a strategy together to get you from where you are now, to where you want to be. Items that will be covered will include:
1. Your current lifestyle and approach to health and fitness.
2. Why you have taken the first step towards a mentally and physically healthier future by contacting us.
3. What it is you wish to achieve by working with us.
4. Current fitness levels and approach to nutrition.
5. Your personal or work commitments so we can tailor our plan, training and meetings around you.
6. At the end of the meeting we will establish and agree our SMART targets so we can build a focused plan to make the future you want become a reality. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Time Bound.

The second step – Establishing your Portal
At Lion Focus we utilise what we believe to be the best technology in the business to provide the best support and connectivity to our clients. We will set you up on our custom portal which will allow you to track and be accountable for your progress with your personalised plan 24/7 all from your phone, tablet or computer. This will provide you the support and focus you need to keep stepping forward towards a new you.

The third step – The Plan
Having taken the time to discuss your current situation, future goals and setting our focused SMART targets together, as well as setting up your portal, the team at Lion Focus will build a manageable plan to work through with you to make your goals a reality. The plan is based around developing a healthier, more confident and happier version of yourself by focussing on a healthier more focussed lifestyle. This will include the following:

1. A structured and manageable personal weekly training plan that works around you with the correct training and support.
The first week of your plan will be based around assessing your current fitness levels in order to then structure a focussed, fun and progressive plan to help you improve both your physical and mental wellbeing. The plan will target the goals you discussed (weight loss, muscle gain, cardiovascular fitness etc) and will be varied and structured to keep you engaged and driven towards your goals. You will be assigned workouts to complete based around your goals via our portal. These workouts will be personally designed factoring in the equipment you have available either at the gym or at home. The frequency and difficulty of these workouts will be based around you to make them achievable but challenging and always with progression in mind to continue your journey of improvement. There will be tuition available on exercises and form to make sure you are training safely and utilising the movements properly to capitalise on your results. Your progress and any tuition needed will be discussed in your scheduled meetings.
2. Weekly nutritional advice.
The first week of the plan will involve keeping a food and nutrition log so we can understand your eating and drinking habits fully in order to make suggestions and give advice on how this can be adapted to aid a healthier lifestyle and improve physical and mental health. During our meeting we will analyse your food schedules and make manageable improvements and suggestions focusing on calories, macros and potential substitutions by utilising our nutritional advice and expertise.
3. A meeting schedule, contact plan and support.
We are here to work with you and in doing so we need to make sure that we stay on task and stick to the plan. As well as being on hand via messages, phone calls, social media etc we believe that accountability is key for us to complete the journey together. We will schedule meetings based around you to be held via Microsoft Teams or Zoom in order to discuss your progress and keep us on target. This will be a time to discuss your results, your focus, the plan, progression as well as any concerns or difficulties you are having with the plan or externally/personally. From here we agree our SMART targets to work towards for the next meeting.


The fourth step – Making that future become a reality.
By now we will have all the information, tools, plans, determination and focus to work on creating an all-round stronger version of you. Now is the time to apply the materials we would have built together in order to have that healthy body, healthy mind and healthy lifestyle. This is in no way the last step in your Lion Focus journey because we are here to work with you to always keep moving pushing and keep moving forward.
