What do you love most about your job?
Satisfaction. I know that the work we carry out genuinely makes a massive difference to our clients lives; for many it gives them a renewed sense of independence and often helps restore dignity. Being able to safely wash / cook, or just move around and in / out of their homes can give a huge boost to the client and offer their family's added peace of mind.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I worked as a general building contractor for many years and fancied a change. Four years ago an opportunity came up in a local council to manage a small adaptations team and I jumped at the chance. I was head-hunted back into the private sector by one of the larger contactors in this field as their Contracts Manager, but ultimately felt their ethos was too commercially driven. I genuinely believe this sector changes lives, so decided to set up my own business.
Why should our clients choose you?
We genuinely care about our clients. We are not interested in pushing for the most expensive solution if a more cost effective one will work as equally well. We're happy to give advice and hep plan a solution that works for all concerned. If you want professional Occupational Therapist involvement then we can recommend an experienced practitioner.
