What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Once you have learned all of the basics of how to take a photograph (accounting for correct exposure and sharpness etc), then you can start to focus on capturing the moments. Taking a single moment in time that aims to convey the emotions and actions that were happening so that people can view the photo several years later and still get a feel of the atmosphere.
What do you love most about your job?
Beyond the creativity, spontaneity and freedom involved with taking photographs? I would say that it would be the opportunity to meet new people, see new environments and experience the love and emotions between the couples and guests.
Whilst every wedding runs along the same themes, each photo taken is a unique frame of different personalities interacting with one another. There is always something that can catch you by surprise, whether it is something not going to plan or a spur of the moment laugh, smile or embrace. Being able to be a part of something so incredible and happy and to have the opportunity to capture this on camera for my clients is truly a unique and heartwarming experience.
Next to this, it would be to see the joy on the faces of my clients when I have the opportunity to show them their photographs or videos for the first time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I want to be able to spend more time doing what I love with the people that I love.
Being able to create content has always been a big dream of mine, and photography is a great medium for me to be able to explore and pursue this passion. It started with offering family portraits to friends and family members, to then providing newborn shoots and engagement shoots to friends and mutual acquaintances. When I started receiving requests to offer wedding photography, I soon realised that this was something that I wanted to continue full time.
In addition, I am now also able to spend more time at home with my wife and children as I personally edit every photograph by hand and to a highly professional standard. Having the flexibility to work hours that fit around my family, means that I can offer more solid focus to the photographs that I have taken as well as be there for my family when they need and want me to be.

There are a lot of great photographers in the world, but what I aim to offer is not only the images and videos that you wanted in the first place, but also a great level of customer service both on the wedding day or shoot, as well as during any communications coming up to the big day.
