I adopted a staff heeler cross who I named Lady in 2004 and very sadly last October I had to have her put to sleep she was over 17 years old when she passed away I think thats about 129 in doggie years & I have cried almost every day since I think that I am ready now to adopt another rescue dog I would love to get the dog from Leigh Dogs & Cats home as the staff were brilliant when I adopted Lady.

I rescued my dog from here in 2015 and every three months he goes back for his sedated grooms. The groomer is a wonderful woman who always does a fantastic job on Loki. The vets have been brilliant with Loki especially these past couple of weeks with his operation and have done a fantastic job with him and his after care. As a whole there is many more facilities now available like water walkies , heated kennels for dogs & cats if people are going away. I would recommend as many more improvements have been made since I rescued my dog. More...

We went to meet Aura last week! She is a amazing Caucasian shepherd who is the most beautiful and happiest dog! She was bouncing about and investigating everything and coming back for cuddles! We also met Maddy who was there for her first day! The man that introduced us to Aura was very helpful and spent time with us and her , answering all our questions and he knows her well. She was very happy to go to him and was very much at ease around him. We have been to Leigh a few times and this time it was different. The atmosphere was different and there was no sense of harm or wrong doing. All the dogs there were in clean cages and happy , they were being walked while we were there and loving the sunshine.
