How can someone tell if their loft is suitable for conversion?
Go up into your loft and measure the distance from the top of the floor beams to the bottom of the timber beam at the highest point of the roof. This needs to be at least 2.2m or 7'2". Once you have strengthened the floor and roof and added insulation, this distance could reduce down to 2m or 6'6", which is the minimum for a habitable room.
Run us through the different stages in the loft conversion process - what’s involved?
Check that the loft is suitable for conversion. Appoint an architect to help you navigate the planning system. Most loft conversions do not require planning permission, but you still need to obtain a certificate of lawful development. We will then obtain building regulations approval and help you to appoint a builder.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We have a covid policy in place which is a checklist that we run through to ensure that neither us nor our clients have any symptoms before we undertake a site visit. We also maintain social distancing when visiting our clients.
