Q&As

With over 19 years in the legal Industry, I have gained a wealth of experience and knowledge.

During my work as a law practitioner, I realised how overwhelming and stressful the legal process is for the clients. As a legal practitioner working in a stressful law firm environment, I could not provide the much needed time and support to my clients, especially time to explain the legal process and help them to cope with the stress.

I realised that just legal advice is not enough, my clients required emotional support as well as practical advice from a trusted advisor on the legal process, who acts as an objective sounding board and provides non-judgemental friendly ear.

Therefore, I decided to take the role of a Legal Consultant instead of acting as a practicing lawyer. My aim is to combine my legal experience with my compassionate nature and provide a holistic support and guidance to my clients to make them feel empowered.

Yes, we are able to provide services remote if required.

Dealing with estate administration has many responsibilities.

It can be an enormous burden on a person who is already enduring great emotional distress after losing a loved one.

Probate can be a daunting prospect and is often time consuming and it’s very important that it is completed accurately.

You can instruct us to do almost everything on your behalf. We will guide you through the whole probate process and provide you with you support.

Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA)

Drafting LPAs, including both Health and Welfare, and Property and Financial Affairs.

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document which enables decisions to be made on behalf of a Donor, or activities to be completed on the donors behalf by the attorney(s).

There are two main types of LPA’s:

Lasting Powers of Attorney for health and care decisions.

This type of Lasting Powers of Attorney is only to be used when mental capacity has been lost.

Decisions which can be made under this LPA for health and care may include:

Where the donor should live
The medical care the donor should receive
The food the donor can eat and the activities the donor can take part in
Who contact should be made with
Allow for special permission for life saving treatment

If you lose mental capacity without an LPA in place, an application to the Court of Protection will be required to have a deputy appointed to deal with everyday financial matters. This can be a slow and very expensive process. If you already have an LPA in place, this will not be necessary and save a fortune on unnecessary costs.

We can assist you with your applications to UK Visas and Immigration.

We can provide support even if English is not your first language.

When someone dies their estate may be required to go through Probate for a Grant of Probate to be obtained. Probate is usually the responsibility of the people named as executors in the will of the deceased.

The executor has an important responsibility. Executors have a “lifetime liability” if they fail to account correctly to the beneficiaries, or any inheritance tax. Obtaining professional guidance can be extremely valuable.
