We have visited this restaurant on a number of big family occasions and last was New Year Eve. Unfortunately yesterday visit will be our last. A family meal celebrating my mother's 80th was left disappointed and I'm devasted for her. The risotto was undercooked, steak was tough, lamb was fatty. The restaurant was cold at lunchtime but what was more was the gentleman that served us. I felt like we were a burden. The children's meal came with an activity pack which he provided 1 for 3 children and was already used when opened. He did print 2 pieces of colouring which we appreciated. When the meal was served no offer if we needed anything else, more drinks or a check up during if the meal was OK. It was a completely different experience from New year eve service and quality of food. We won't be returning after not 1 but 3 meals were poor quality. More...

We had the Eden room booked for my birthday and the staff were nothing but welcoming and helpful since the beginning of the night. We had an amazing night, the staff were absolutely fabulous- always making sure we had everything we needed and checking in, getting us more drinks (or whatever else we needed) etc. Compliments to the chef as our food was beautiful! I booked a table for 10 and a ‘booth’ room for my husbands birthday! What a complete disappointment… we waited for an hour and 20 minutes for the 1st round of drinks… there was absolutely no communication between what was happening upstairs in the bar area and downstairs in the restaurant! I was told by one they weren’t ready for us, the other then told me they’d be waiting!! Chaos seemed to be the word of the evening! Food was ok, that saved the night a little, and the waitress downstairs did try her very best in what seemed to be a sketch from faulty towers! We went back upstairs and the cocktails came … but again very very slowly. (It’s not a surprise because the bar area the staff have to make the cocktails is teeny.. it must be really difficult to work in such a cramped space with the volume of drinks being ordered. I completely understand that it’s Christmas etc but then begs the question is it ‘quantity’ or ‘quality’ your striving for? Then to top the evening off my friends coat was ‘stolen’ from our booth while we were having our meal! We’d specifically asked if it was ok to leave our coats in the booth and we’re assured it was ok to do so! CCTV later showed a woman from another party helping herself to the jacket! It was returned over a week later stinking off smoke and stretched/ruined and has had to be binned! If the staff upstairs weren’t so overwhelmed it would have been a great experience..(apart from the slippery Astro turf in the main walkways of the bar area😳🙈 life in your hands walking to and from the bathroom ) Overall .. if the manager (????) had cared even in the slightest about our negative experiences I wouldn’t have felt the need to write this but after spending approximately £750 in one evening o think we deserved at least a little curtesy! Instead everyone that’s asked we’ve relayed our experiences.. such a shame but I absolutely wouldn’t recommend La Luna! More...

Great food and service. Whenever we come here we’re always impressed with the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff and the overall experience. From the restaurant downstairs which offers a wonderful range of food to the upstairs cocktail lounge with snug spaces and garden rooms which add a real unique feel to the venue. Amazing evening as always! The food was beautiful and the staff were attentive, we all had three courses from both the evening and specials menus, and despite it being busy everything was perfectly timed and we all thoroughly enjoyed! We then had ‘The Cwtch’ room for cocktails, which as you can see from the pictures, was just brilliant and such a lovely surprise for our bride to be! Cocktails were gorgeous too! totally disappointed 😞 Service wasn't great Over charged Attitude off the staff because we questioned being over charged by alot. Stopped my sister from leaving accusing her of not paying when we had just payed the bill!! I visited la Luna with a very ill friend a few weeks back, it was clear to see that my friend was ill, the staff placed us that we were out of the way enough that it was difficult to be stared at bit not enough put of the way that we felt excluded, when it came to ordering friend ordered the steak, the staff that took the ordered asked if she would like the chef to slice it for her, this small act of understanding meant my friend did not have to ask one of our party to help her with eating, from start to finish I couldn't fault the service but what made the visit particularly special was the way the staff understood the situation and treated my friend with the utmost dignity, my friend sadly passed away a few days later but my last and lasting memory of a very dear friend is the experience we had at la Luna,the food was also excellent.

Service was slow, took 1 hour to wait for our second drink, and that theme continued through the service. They ran out of steak 🤷♀️ at 6pm. Not the best unfortunately.
