What do you love most about your job?
I love being able to channel my passion for education into facilitating the progress of my students.
One-to-one tutoring allows me to encourage an enthusiasm for learning and navigate the student’s individual needs and goals, which I feel is sometimes overlooked in a school environment.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Koala Tutoring began when I realised I wanted to help empower students on an adademic level, not just here but across the globe. That’s why, 10% of our profits go towards pupils in locations that dont’t have access to an education. See koalatutoring.com to learn more about our aim :)
Why should our clients choose you?
Something quite unique about my teaching style is my insistence on the process of active learning.
We believe it is essential that students aren’t just memorising endless textbooks, and are instead guided to a more productive approach: During sessions, we consistently ask questions to ensure students are actively absorbing all the information and we use a variety of visual techniques to help simplify difficult concepts.
We charge £25/hr for one-to-one tutoring. This includes:
- all the resources we provide
- the notes that we send to students at the end of lessons
- any help with school homework that they might require

We use google meets to host our online lessons and we require cameras on at all times
We also use an interactive platform called pear deck that enables students to type in working out / answers so I can see their progress live.
Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
We offer 1 hour sessions for maths and sciences at KS3 and GCSE levels.
Prices start from £15/hour and we offer both group and private classes to accomodate for all our learners.
