After a few years of not having our gas boiler serviced, earlier this year we were introduced to Kieran of KJD Heating Services by a friend’s neighbour who had been very impressed with him. We phoned him and arranged for him to carry out a service which he did very punctually and efficiently. It has since worked well and is noticeably much quieter. Recently, we noticed our Megaflow unvented indirect cylinder had started overflowing. We followed the instructions to regenerate its air pocket but were not confident we had done it properly. So for safety’s sake we switched off the boiler and phoned Kieran. As we had no hot water he arrived next afternoon and successfully reinstated the air pocket explaining each step to us as he went. Our company only fit good quality, highly efficient Gas and oil boilers, which have a long manufactures warranty and are reliable. These boilers produce more heat and use less gas than older existing boilers, and they will usually fit inside a kitchen cupboard
POWER FLUSHING
Is designed to remove sludgy build-up in the boiler, pipes and radiators that make up your central heating system. A power flushing unit sends water through your central-heating system at high velocity to dislodge any build-up of sludge, rust and other debris.
This helps to improve the efficiency and lifespan of the boiler and central heating system and prevent breakdowns.
UNDERFLOOR HEATING
If you get cold feet from walking on your floors at home, we can install underfloor heating. perfect for those winter seasons.
Underfloor heating provides the most comfortable, even warmth and chill of any heating and cooling system. It's economical to run and virtually maintenance free. Speed-fit underfloor heating uses mainly radiant heat, the most comfortable form of heating, giving an even distribution of warmth over the whole room.
By contrast, radiators transfer energy using convection, heating the air above and around the radiator at a much higher temperature, causing the warm air to rise. This results in the floor being the coolest place in the room, with the mass of warm air at ceiling level. Underfloor heating resolves this issue by ensuring there are no more cold spots and that heat is distributed evenly where it is needed most.
A conventional radiator can be as hot as 75°C, whilst an underfloor heating system has a much lower and safer surface temperature between 25-27°C.
PROFESSIONAL BOILER SERVICE
Yearly boiler servicing is a wise precaution, we can ensure that your current system is operating to peak performance, ensuring against Carbon Monoxide, leaks and prolong its lifespan. Regular maintenance can also help prevent a system breakdown which can be expensive and never welcome.
GAS SAFTEY / LANDLORD CHECKS
This is To ensure your tenants’ safety, all gas appliances and flues need to undergo an annual gas safety check. Once this has been done, you’ll be given a Landlord Gas Safety Record or Gas Safety certificate with details of all the checks that were carried out.
UNVENTED CYLINDERS
Free up valuable space in your property and tend to provide stronger water pressure than an open vented system. Other advantages of installing an unvented system include reduced noise in the system. This is due to the fact that there is no cold water filling up the water storage cistern
