steak was spot on I ordered well done little pink but that's why I order well done lol pity even this time of yr there's four had pulled but only two on ,but a fan of hobgoblin not quite as good since Marston took over but still good staff great service good would visit again infact tomorrow lol

We came after work today with our “Shop dog” Huxley , we were in need of a pint after a busy day. Most of the menu they did not have had hunters chicken that was so dry full of jelly at bottom of chicken the sauce I could not fined on it staff not friendly at all would DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND

Arrived party of 8 for my birthday got seated and got menus. Decor and front of house staff lovely. Nice little kids corner for younger kids. Went to order and was told no steaks no pies no sausage. This should of been told upon seating as majority of the party wanted steak. Swapped for other menu options plus carvery. Hunter chicken came in a dish full of jelly fat. Very off putting. Carvery had a nice selection but meats were thin and dry slices. Roast Potatoes were hard and chewy along with sage and onion. Only had limited cake slices for pudding. We are going to Yorkshire wildlife park for my sons birthday and needed somewhere to stay as not local. found this place and so glad we did, staff couldn't do enough for us, decorated room with balloons for my son and also our table when we had an evening meal. As always we love coming to kings chamber with the family as it’s kid friendly and you get what you pay for. However the poor service seen today given by the manager Carol, of all people, was disgusting, and this isn’t the first time I or my friends have witnessed this. Speaking down and in a rude manner to her staff, in front of customers was uncalled for today, over some high chairs being cleaned, which had just been done. Also heard to say in previous weeks to customers, ‘I could kick all my staff into next week’. For the record, the staff member Louie, was great today and did a good job! :) More...
