What do you love most about your job?
Tutoring gives the opportunity to help students accomplish their goals and overcome their boundaries, while inspiring them on a personal and academic level. Witnessing a student’s confidence and enthusiasm grow towards topics they previously struggled with is one of the most satisfying consequences of tutoring, even if it took small steps to get there. It’s an absolute joy to teach, especially as you’re learning just as much from the student as much as you’re teaching them.
What inspired you to start your own business?
As someone who struggled with academia as a child, I’ve always wanted to help others who are experiencing similar difficulties. The flexible hours that come with tutoring gives me the time to plan and prepare in full for lessons, so that I can help each student to the best of my ability. Getting to directly impact and support each student’s academic growth, has always and will continue being a rewarding process, just as much as it is for the student as it is for me.

I believe that an effective tutor requires patience and compassion, ensuring students have the best environment and experience to thrive in. I have the experience and passion for the subjects I teach, as well as the dedication to motivate students to never give up especially on those harder topics. I also understand that each student has a unique way of learning, requiring specific methods or approaches that will help them. Luckily, I’m always up to finding fun and exciting ways to teach.
