About

My name is Katie Ellis and I offer counselling services in West Yorkshire. The service covers talking therapy and guided imagery for adults.
I have experience of providing emotional support to women, and young people aged 15-25, helping to improve their mental health and well-being. I have experience of working with issues surrounding self-esteem, confidence, anxiety and depression. Having previously worked in the voluntary sector with The Samaritans, and more recently with ex-offenders and their families, I also have experience of supporting those who experience suicidal thoughts and those who are struggling within their relationships.
I adopt a Person-Centred approach and strongly believe that we are all capable of growth and change. I am also trained in the use of Guided Imagery and the Rewind Technique, which can be an effective treatment for those with phobias or those who have experienced traumatic events.
I am a fully qualified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work to their code of ethics.
I also have enhanced criminal records bureau disclosures and hold a full level of insurance to cover my work.
