Well I don’t know what to start with first. So I will start with Karen herself, Calm professional and caring approach towards me. Me on the other hand was broken crying sniffling woman who had no idea where to start on my mental health issues and where or how it would be possible to turn things around. But this lady worked her magic with guidance and compassion listening and understanding of each weeks troubles or achievements and the progress I had made. This lady made me see the strength I had inside and grow into a new stronger woman with achievable goals. And I can’t thank her or recommend her professionalism enough. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Karen has been an absolute Godsend during possibly the worst time of my life…The death of my husband of 47 years from cancer. Calm, friendly, warm and non judgmental she’s listened to me and helped me immeasurably. She’s never made me feel embarrassed and she’s very easy to open up to. I can thoroughly recommend her. I have had the pleasure of working working with Karen, in the counselling capacity, since June, 2022. As Karen's therapist, I was immediately impressed by her 'give it a go' attitude. Karen is not afraid to step outside her comfort zone, which was reflected in her willingness to fully engage in the exercises and challenges, both during the session and outside the the therapy room. Karen's 100% commitment level was a significant factor in her progression towards healing. During the client sessions, it was becoming increasingly clear that Karen had a 'heart' to help patients, faced with similar difficulties , including cancer related issues, anxiety and self-esteem. Once again, Karen leaped outside her comfort zone, when it was suggested to her, that she potentially had the right credentials and characteristics to become a counsellor. Throughout Karen's journey as a trainee counsellor to becoming qualified, I have witnessed Karen coming into her 'calling'. Karen's ability to ask the right questions, coupled with her innate sensitivity to identify when client's need to just 'wait' in their space, has aided her client's to move from a place of pain towards healing. As Karen's supervisor, I would say that Karen's greatest strength is her ability to understand her client's needs. That said, Karen's sincerity is for me, the 'key value' that gives meaning to her work. More...

Having my first ever counselling session in my late twenties is kind of daunting and I didn’t quite know what to expect. But Karen immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease and with zero judgement. I could be completely myself. She is an incredibly down-to-earth and caring lady, I feel listened to and understood. She projects her authenticity and listening skills so well. So, a huge and warm thank you! More...

Q&As

I love being able to guide people towards a solution and watch them become happier in life through self improvement. It is my mission to improve the stigma surrounding Counselling by offering a relaxed and informal service

I had been going through Counselling myself after surviving Cancer and was approached by my own Counsellor who supported me through the whole process of becoming qualified. He gave me the confidence in my own abilities and showed me that I was an empath who truly wanted to share my own experiences and guide people to a happier place in there lives.

I offer an informal, friendly service but above all of my clients can be assured that I offer a safe space to talk and explore their feelings. I have had Counselling and been through Cancer so I understand and empathise with the Clients feelings without being judgemental.

My service in the UK is purely online

Services

Anxiety is a feeling of worry or fear that is a normal response to a range of different situations.
It can affect your mental and physical health, especially when you feel anxious every day and can’t remember when you last felt relaxed.
Counselling can help you explore the cause of these feelings, understand them, and suggest ways of dealings with situations.

Addiction Counselling, is a specialised form of therapy designed to address the underlying causes of addiction.
The aim is to guide and support individuals in their journey toward recovery. By combining evidence-based techniques with empathy and understanding, I create a safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their struggles and develop effective coping strategies.

Anger is a strong feeling of displeasure. It is often a reaction to stress, failure, or injustice. Anger can range from mild irritation to full-blown rage.
It is normal to experience anger. At times, anger is the appropriate response to the actions of others. When managed correctly and kept in check, anger can be an important ally to a healthy adult.
People who have lasting, extreme anger may find it helpful to explore its causes with a Counsellor

Counselling can take place during or after cancer treatment, but it can sometimes be beneficial for family members and loved ones, too. Talking to a counsellor experienced in cancer issues can ease the sense of isolation you may feel and help you find ways to face the challenges ahead.
