We hired Sarah to help us decorate and re- design our Restaurant. The decor had become quite dated and we needed some fresh eyes and input.
Sarah started by coming to dine in the restaurant so that she was able to get a feel for what it was like during service. I thought this was a fantastic idea and showed Sarah’s commitment and passion to the design task.
After discussing what our ideas were and based on what Sarah observed she was able to provide us with a project book and mood board. This was fabulous and gave us further inspiration. I was blown away with the things Sarah had thought of such as something that was able to convert and allow our spotlights to a pendant light. Sarah supported this idea with a lighting plan which meant I didn’t need to get an electrician involved initially.
The end result of the restaurant was amazing! It felt homely, cosy and really inviting. Thank you Sarah for bringing our restaurant back to life, we will definitely be using your services again, in business and home

What’s your interior design process?
My process begins with speaking with the Client. I like to really understand the design requirements before I bring my twist of joyful, sustainable, yet functional design. I take inspiration from nature and colour, I'm not a trend driven designer. Following the initial briefing, I will create a process map for the project and depending on the task required, provide the client with a timeline and end result goal. From that point on, it is all about cracking on with the task. I am an excellent communicator and believe that clear and concise communication is key to driving any project.
Which interior design styles can you cater for?
I can cater for any style, it is important to me that the Client is happy with their space. I will always encourage the use of colour, texture and print as I believe it brings joy and creates happiness.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the process of transformation, seeing what can be and driving a project to create something new. I can visualise the end result at the beginning of any project and I love to watch the Client's face as the transformation is in each stage.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I'm passionate about a work life balance and believe that working for myself offers me the best way to achieve the lifestyle I want. I also want to bring more joy to the world through creative design and I believe this is the best way to do it, without the parameters of working for someone else.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm a clear and direct communicator with creative ideas, drive to create greatness and deliver the brief. My priority will always be fulfilling the requirement of the customer.

I can absolutely provide my services remotely, I am open to facetime, zoom calls, email, whatsapp etc. I've worked with clients in many ways and can accommodate to the requirements. I've also worked with clients in different timezones and hemispheres so I am open to meetings at adhoc times.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Customer safety is absolutely a priority at Joy Interiors. We follow all government regulations and recommendations and if a client requested any additional safety measures that they preferred, we can factor them in.
Floor Plans
2D Floor Plans to scale using Sketch Up, following a brief from the client. Measurements can be collected or provided.
Moodboards
Inspiration Boards to provide direction on interiors, both commercially and residential following a brief from the client.
Wall Elevations
Planning of spaces to scale via CAD software.
This can be done based on a suggested idea of a space or following the production of the FFE schedule with the actual pieces used in the elevations.
Fixtures, Fitting and Equipment Schedules
Researching, collating and producing fixture, fitting and equipment schedules.
This will involve time researching and comparing suppliers before providing all the information.
This can also include sourcing and project management should the client want that.
Lighting Plans
Lighting plans to be created based on a brief from the client and floor plan measurements.
3D Render
A 3D render of a space or building following the completion of floor plans and wall elevations.

Photoshoot styling
Property styling
Interior Design projects
Visual Merchandising projects
Commercial design projects
Property Styling
Hands on property styling or digital mock ups of what the space could look like to support with property projects.

Hands on photoshoot styling or sourcing of props and moodboard creations.
