Jovan Sewell Photography is run by London based photographer Jovan.
Jovan has had a love for photography ever since he first picked up a camera in 2016. 2 years of being a hobbyist photographer he decided to make a big career change and take a leap of faith in 2018, Jovan took the necessary steps to turn his hobby into a full time job with hard work and determination.

If there was a higher score to score Jovan the stars would go off the scale. Jovan made me see that so much goes into photography. We did an outdoor shoot at a park and he spent time with my son making sure he felt happy and free in the environment. My son had the time of his life as he played on the swings and slides and ran around the park with his football. And the result of all the play was some fantastic pictures, which brought tears to my eyes. The photoshoot is something we won’t forget and Jovan is highly recommended!! More...

I contacted Jovan for a last-minute photoshoot. I am so glad I found him as he was very helpful and tried to organise everything with me by giving different alternatives and ideas so we could get the photoshoot done on time.
The communication with him was excellent. He is very professional and easy to work with.
I have to say that he was very patient, as this photoshoot was with kids, and it is not always easy to work with them, but Jovan managed very well.
All the team was very comfortable during the session. He really creates a good atmosphere.
I will recommend him 100% and I will work with him again.

Being photographed by Jovan was such a fun experience, my friend and I had a 2 hour shoot and Jovan made sure to utilise the time perfectly.
My friend and I were able to get individual shots in various outfits as well as some fun bonus shots together !
The shots came out beautifully!
Shooting with Jovan was more than just a photo shoot, it was a day packed with laughter and silliness, it was quite therapeutic after such a heavy year actually.
I will definitely be returning for more in the near future !

Photos By Jovan is very professional and good at what he does. Not only did he take amazing photos of us but he alsobmade it fun and was very patient as I was heavily pregnant.
We schecdule this maternity shoot with him on my birthday and he made my day feel so special. Photos by Jovan is very creative and had lots of helpful ideas for shots and positioning. Infact he suggested the locations and poses that have now become my favourite photos. They were epic! He truely captured the moment of what that life stage meant to us and has give me such lovely photos to look back on.

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
With portraiture it's understanding your clients mind, I like to have a conversation first so I have an understanding of what styles of photography the client likes and I input my touch on it to bring to life a photo the client will feel was handcrafted for them.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I like to ask questions like;
'Who are your favourite photographers?'
'What's your favourite style of photography?'
'What do you like about my style of photography?'
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and having a genuine connection with them, the connection with the client is what essentially makes the shoot.
When there's a great connection between model and photographer the model naturally feels relaxed allowing for a better photo opportunity and therefore better results.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I always wanted to be my own boss as I always had the right mindset to be self driven but didn't have something I really enjoyed to drive this energy anywhere, that was until I found photography.
After the 2nd year of taking photos I realised I can make good money doing something I loved and I made a decision there and then to work hard into turning my passion into a business.

From the moment you contact me I want to make it an experience like your meeting with a friend to take some photos rather than a business transaction.
I love taking photos and I will ensure you enjoy having your photos taken. We will part ways with photos you will frame in your living room for many years to come.
