Me and my partner used Johns Taxis on the 22/04/23. We rang him and he kindly said he could pick us up from the station, it wasn’t a long wait and he told us exactly how long it would be. Upon us being picked up, we were greeted by friendliness and conversation. We had the same response when we got picked up by him later in the afternoon. We have waited four days for a response regarding what went wrong with our scheduled pick up, but have not received one. So unfortunately we feel that we must warn other customers of our experience, one that has been echoed in other online reviews I didn't see when first booking. We had a taxi booked for older family members at midnight from a remote countryside venue with no pedestrian pathways, and it simply didn't turn up. I rang the numbers I had for the firm several times and they both rang out, then started to go straight to voicemail. A text was not delivered until morning. One taxi co-incidentally from the same firm just had to keep shuttling back and forth as guests pleaded and waited in the rain, then guests got back 1.5 hours later than expected in the cold and dark. I had booked John's taxis over a month in advance for a wedding. We had emailed back and forth details and I had sent my partners and mine numbers over incase of any issues. The wedding finished at just past 11. The taxi was booked to get to us at 11-11.30pm. I called several times to see where the taxi was after 11.30pm. I called three separate numbers. A lady answered and said it must be one of the other drivers and she would call them yo say we were waiting. No callback so I called again. No answer, called 3 different numbers and no answer. Gone midnight my partner and I had to ask another wedding guest to come back and get us as the taxis NEVER arrived! I am so disappointed and angry. More...

Having booked a cab six days in advance to meet us from a train, we were very disappointed that no car arrived and when I rang to find out where the cab was, I was told he was delayed at an airport.
