I really don't like writing bad reviews. And I especially don't like writing bad reviews when it's a local business that I rate very highly because they (usually! ) make the best pizzas ever. ♥ My usual order is the chicken tikka pizza without cashews. Not because I'm allergic to them or anything...I just don't like the consistency of them on a pizza. But three times I've made this order without cashews...only for it to have cashews on it when I open the takeaway box when I get home. And it's happened at two different branches of Johnny Dough's as well. :/ It's not a massive deal for me personally, as I can just pick them off and still enjoy the pizza, but cashews are a common allergen so it really worries me that it's happened on three seperate occasions just for me. I really thought long and hard about posting this, but I really worry that someone with an allergy might order something in good faith, only to get a pizza that will cause a reaction. And like I mentioned earlier, it's the third time it's happened. :( If you don't have any food allergies then I 100% reccomend Johnny Dough's. The pizzas from here are legit the tastiest pizzas I've ever had, and I love that if you get them as a takeaway pizza, they're not horrible greasy messes like you'd get from a "usual" pizza takeaway shop. But if you have a food allergy I would suggest perhaps going somewhere else, or ordering a pizza that doesn't feature the allergen at all, to be certain it won't end up on the pizza even if you ask for it not to be included... So, Henry my 7 year old son made me do this review. this is the 2nd time we've eaten here... well 1st as a take out and 2nd time in. .. fantastic service and the pizzas are so tasty, staff are great too. ohh 2nd time we visited we drove from Holywell which is 45 mins away ... see you soon Johnny Dough! After 5 years we revisited Johnny Dough pizza. On our vacation to Anglesey we made a special trip to find that it was still open. We were not disappointed, fantastic pizzas, fresh and very tasty. Visited the Penmaenmawr branch last night. Arrived quite late as a walk in but we’re made to feel very welcome by lovely servers. Went to the one in Penmaenmawr for my daughter's birthday and took some of her friends, they loved making their own pizzas. They were very accommodating, even let us bring a birthday cake, did the candles etc... pizzas were delicious too! Will defo go back! 🙂 More...
