Johanna has been a fantastic teacher to my 2 year old son. Johanna is exceptionally patient and creative with my son and has tailored his lessons so that he is engaged for the duration of the lesson, including using age appropriate tools such as stickers. I was particularly impressed that Johanna learnt a number of my son’s favourite songs and nursery rhymes to encourage him to participate in the lessons. Johanna has recommended age appropriate lesson guides and different tools for home practice too. After only a few sessions, my two year old son can recognise different keys and is playing with both hands. His progress has been phenomenal and that is all thanks to Johanna. Johanna was easy to get along with. She was happy to work at the speed i chose and on the music i wanted to. The way she blended technique exercises with practical tricks to help my overall sound was incredible. I regularly have lessons with her now. Even online she’s really good at reading what I’m struggling with and helps find creative ways and new techniques to figure it out things i see as blocks. I've had a few piano teachers over the past few years but I've never been more happier than I have been with Johanna.
I've been using Johanna since Feb 2020 but unfortunately most of our fortnightly lessons have been online due to covid, Despite this, Johanna has superbly improved my previous performances on classical pieces (JS Bach, CPE Bach, Prokofiev and Elgar).
In addition during the same period, I've learnt from scratch, contemporary and pop pieces - JM Cano, Bruno Mars and Michael Nyman)
I have progressed from an advanced beginner student to an intermediate one which would not have been possible without Johanna's patience, support, guidance, teaching methods and techniques.
I firmly believe that Johanna really wants the best for her students (regardless of their ability) and she definately know how to bring this out of them

Back in my school days i used to go to music school myself, so i was quite hesitant and picky at first, when my sister asked me for help in finding a piano tutor for my then 8 year-old niece.

Luckily i stumbled upon Johanna! She was great and exceeded all of my expectations and fears that we had towards private tutoring.
She showed a lot of patience towards the kids and made the lessons fun and something they looked forward to! The playful lessons made my nieces development seem so effortless and since she is also taking lessons in violin, it was so great to see how the skills could be transferred.
Johanna is a kind and sincere teacher, which really brushed off on my niece and also very reliable, so I would definitely recommend her for private tutoring for your kids!
