I was reluctant to call a business to solve my chimney problem, but I really did not know how to fix the problem I had. I had just purchased a house and I suspected the previous home owner installed the wood burning fireplace himself. I also did not seem to be able to capture any heat in the room. Javier suggested that he come and take a look at my fireplace. I am so glad he did. The prior homeowner used aluminum b-vent (very dangerous) for a wood burning fireplace and the fireplace was not designed to heat a house, just to look nice---it was probably very cheap. But the wrong vent would have eventually burnt the whole house down. He showed me how the metal had melted and was not long till everything could have been lost to a fire. On his recommendation I removed that fireplace and ordered a cast iron stove, which fits the space. I think I'll keep a piece of the b-vent as a reminder of how making a call to a professional could save a life. More...

I am surprised that this company gets so many good reviews. My experience was awful. The technician was arrogant and unfriendly. He listed off a several very expensive repairs that needed to be made to my chimney. The price was so high that I became suspicious and declined service, thankfully. Had an issue with my work laptop - 3 years of (stupidly not backed up) client and invoice data sitting on a laptop that wouldn't load past the start screen and wouldn't let me connect external devices. Contacted JM Restart and after a pretty speedy diagnostic, they quoted me for the work and a new part, the prices of which were pretty fair and the work was carried out and completed within a few days of the issue presenting itself.

I had trouble with my PC (I'm from Harwich) and Matthew came to collect my PC hours after I called, on a Saturday no less! A job I thought hopeless and would take a few days took Matthew only 2 hours on the Monday and I had my PC back and working perfectly by the evening.

We worked with Alex, who was absolutely amazing! The whole process from beginning to end was easy, clear, and effortless for us. We are new home owners of a previous rental property. With no knowledge of the last cleaning/maintenance on the fireplace, we went with a Level 2 inspection.
