What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Provide the audience with the music they want to here with an unselfish attitude that you often find with DJ's. Finding the Genre and vibe that works best and creating a mix with similar songs and smooth transitions between genres. Having a large library is essential for executing requests. Nothing makes people happier then hearing there song request after they have made it.
How would you describe your ‘style’?
I have been playing every week for the last 5 years under the alias DJ Request. My playlist changes weekly based on the crowd and i make it my mission to please everyone that comes to see me play. My playlist will change but my style is always seamless mixing with beat matching where applicable. I often mix tunes together at end/start to offer the crowd something different to what they are used to, to give it that professional DJ sparkle. It seems to always go down well.
What do you love most about your job?
I love Dj'ing, i do it at home and i love to go and watch DJ's. When your job is get people dancing and enjoying themselves and making new friends on the dance floor your realize that your job really is brilliant.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I Have always had the equipment and the no how, its something i have always wanted to do. And having a few doors open for me in London was the building block for the business.
