Q&As

I love seeing improvements in my patients. They enjoy the benefits of my practice, experiencing improvements physically, mentally, and emotionally or a combination of them all. They joy of seeing someone walk in to clinic doubled up with pain and seeing them leave feeling more flexible and with less pain is wonderful, or for someone who had suffered from Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) for 40 years become confident and believe in themselves again is a very special thing. I feel very honoured to have been some part of their return to health.

Traditional Acupuncturists, like chiropractors and osteopaths, are not part of the NHS. For this reason it was necessary for me to set up my own business. Pre-Covid I worked in a clinic with other acupuncturists but with lock down I was decided it was time to set up my own clinic. I now work from home. This has been a very successful move for me. I have been able to create a great environment for my patients whilst maintaining safety and applying Covid rules.

I am a fully trained traditional acupuncturist and a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
I hold a Distinction in, Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic.Ac) which is a 3 year degree course. I trained at The Acupuncture Academy (TAA), in Leamington Spa. This is one of the few courses that is accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB), in the UK, considered to be the gold standard of accreditation in acupuncture. The course provided an extensive training not only in the various facets of Chinese medicine but covered relevant and important aspects of western medicine and research.
I use an integrated approach to Acupuncture, mainly using acupuncture but incorporating auricular acupuncture, Gua Sha and Tui Na in to my practice when deemed appropriate.

I provide all treatments from my clinic room. My treatment room offers a calm and serene place to come which all my patients have appreciated.
By using a treatment room that is for the sole use of acupuncture, I am able to clean and disinfect the room appropriately between patients.

I disinfect my clinic room between patients. This has meant that I have a 30 minute interval between seeing patients now. Patients no longer come in to contact with each other.
On the day of treatment I ring to ask 5 COVID related questions. If any are positive then the patient is asked not to attend unless they have a negative lateral flow and have had 2 valid vaccinations.
