Commercial & Office Cleaning

We have found Jigsaw Facilities Ltd to be very professional. They are thorough and diligent. On occasion they have gone above and beyond what was required of them and assisted when we have had additional cleaning issues such as when we rearranged the office. The whole team are friendly and approachable and I would definitely recommend them. More...

Commercial & Office Cleaning

Unfortunately no-one turned up for the appointment we agreed and we have had no phone calls or contact from Jigsaw, so we have selected a different contractor. Such a shame, I liked the sound of the company and the good reviews. More...

Services

There are a whole host of reasons why a clean office is ultimately good for business, but here are a few of our most important ones.

It reflects who you are

Your office or work environment is a statement of who you are as an individual, but also as a business. When people come in to that environment they will make an instant determination of who you are and what it is that you can offer.

If your office is untidy, poorly maintained and in need of some TLC then this will reflect badly on you as an organisation. People want to feel that you are on top of every area of your professional life, and overflowing waste bins, dirty floors or crowded desks is not the image they want to be left with.

It helps you remain organised

Knowing that everything has its place, and everything is in that place will ensure you don’t have to waste time looking for things when you need them. Think how much time and energy you waste in the course of a day, week or month scrambling around looking for that post-it you wrote a new clients contact number on. Having a system and sticking to it will make your life easier, and allow you to achieve more.

Not only that, but if you are less stressed because you’re not having to search for things, then the work environment itself is going to be far more productive and calm. It will make it a better place to work and will encourage other people to follow suit.

Less sick days

If you work in a communal environment where you are going to be exposed to colleagues, or even staff from other offices, there is a good chance you’re going to come in to contact with their germs. Whether it’s the communal kitchen and poorly cleaned surfaces, kettle handles or fridge doors or door handles throughout the building, the odds are in the germ’s favour.

In such a situation staff are at a greater risk of picking up colds and sickness bugs, which could cause them to take a day or two off work. Depending on the size of your work force, and the seriousness of the bugs they pick up, this could cost the business dearly over the course of a year in sick pay and lost productivity. You may even have to pay other staff overtime to pick up the slack if you have an important project on.

With a professional cleaning company such as Jigsaw you can avoid these issues altogether.

How to get your deposit back : cleaning tips from the experts

If you choose to do your own end of tenancy clean then you’re braver than most. Deep cleaning a home can be stressful and time consuming on its own, but add moving house into the equation and you’re just asking for a whirlwind of chaos.

However if you have decided to do it yourself follow our guide and you will get your deposit back in no time!

The number one rule!
Leave the property as you found it. Make sure it looks as good as the day you moved in, or as you would like to find it.

Don’t forget
The most common thing that renters forget to do is to check all the lightbulbs. It seems like such a small thing but with some landlords charging £5 a bulb it can really take an unnecessary chunk out of your deposit, so make sure to check all the lights before you leave.

Kitchen
This will be your biggest task.

Fridge/freezer -
Remove all food and drink
All shelves and compartments need to be removed and cleaned
Your landlord may want you to turn off and defrost your fridge/freezer, just have a towel underneath for the water (this may take several hours)
Clean inside and out
If it’s turned off make sure to leave the doors open to prevent mould

Cupboards/ drawers -
Remove all of your items
They need to be crumb and stain free
The top your your kitchen cupboards will be covered in grease, but some hot water and a good kitchen degreaser should sort this
Clean inside and out
Don’t forget the handle!

Oven-
The oven needs to look as good as new
It will require a specialist oven cleaner
Remember to do the hob and extractor fan too

Other appliances-
Clean inside and out of washing machines and dishwasher
Remove washing machine soap draw and clean

Bathroom
Wipe all tiles
Give the toilet, bath, shower and sink a thorough scrub
A toothbrush is useful for getting around taps and plugs
Make sure all glass is immaculate
Don’t forget to check under your sink and toilet
Some mould spray may be useful for the bathroom especially around the grouting and sealant

Other rooms
Clean all skirting boards
Wipe blinds
Vacuum any fabric furniture
Remove dust and dirt from all furniture
Ensure radiators are dust free
Don’t forget to check behind and under everything
Dust light fittings
Wipe marks from doors and frames
Make sure the garden is tidy
Give the whole property a thorough vacuum
Hire a carpet cleaner (landlords want the carpets to look fresh and stain free)
Mop all hard floor

Windows
Start with the frames removing all the mould
Then clean the glass with some window cleaner and a fluffy cloth
