You spend a lot of time with your photographer on your wedding day so it's important to make sure you pick a photographer you feel comfortable with. From the moment we met James, he was so accommodating and friendly - a real pleasure to be around. I'd highly recommend having the engagement shoot as it's a great opportunity to get to know each other before the wedding and a chance to feel a little more comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. We also had to move our wedding due to Covid and we were so pleased when James had availability for the new date and he was incredibly flexible in moving the date and making sure we were not out of pocket. On the day, he worked seamlessly with the staff at the venue to make sure everything went to plan and to capture the best photos possible! We loved looking through the online gallery he curated for us a few weeks after the wedding with hundreds of pictures we were able to share with all the guests to view and download. We've just had a wedding album meeting with him and can't wait to get our hands on the album. James Ireland Photography is wedding photo perfection! My Husband and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer. From day one James communicated in a speedy and professional manner, his prices were incredibly competitive and the final products were outstanding. We were lucky to be joined by both James and Ed on our wedding day, they made myself, husband and all our bridal party and guests feel relaxed when taking photos, plus they were fab with my little nephew who I think has decided he wants to be a photographer after being James shadow most the day haha! James and his sidekick Ed (we had the all night long package with 2 photographers) were amazing. Lots of options to chose from, we had a random bunch of natural shots and portraits. We were recommended by another photographer to James - we were glad we were as we got on well with him from the start. They both made us feel very comfortable on our big day, our family loved them, they were so professional and the night shots they took on our wedding night you wouldn’t have thought was possible with the cloudy weather. The photo booth which came with our package went down a storm as well. We had hundreds if not nearly a thousand photos come back within a week, some beautiful photos in there which we will put in a photo album. We were looking for a natural, documentary style photographer that could provide us with lovely colourful photos that capture the emotion of our day, and that’s exactly what we got. We have so many amazing photos which really capture the atmosphere and some particularly very special moments, and it was all done in such a natural way. We went for the prep to party package with the addition of a second photographer. We’re so glad we went with this option, as it’s really nice to have photos of every element of the day, including the groom prep and guest arrival, as well as the bride prep. Also included was the engagement/pre-wedding shoot which also gave us so many beautiful photos, and an opportunity to get to know James before the big day. James and Ed were both so helpful and friendly. James was great from our first meeting all the way up to the day, and beyond. On the day, James was helping to get bouquets and corsages to the correct people, adjusting our 2 year old nephews buttonhole, as well as going out of his way to avoid the situation of my now husband accidentally seeing me before the ceremony. Ed was really great too, including jumping up and down by the camera to keep the attention of our nephew for our family photo! We also had a last minute curveball which James and Ed handled so well and really went the extra mile to ensure everyone could be included in the group photos that we requested. Our family and friends were all very impressed. Our best man and bridesmaid have contacted James since our wedding to book them for their own wedding date! We got married in August 2019 and we can’t put into words how amazing our wedding photographer was. James was brilliant every step of the way from the first meeting to the fantastic wedding album design. The pre-shoot was very helpful as both of us weren’t sure how it would be posing for photos however James put us at ease and it wasn't long until we were all laughing and getting to know each other. On our wedding day, James and Ed were brilliant. Before the ceremony, James was a star and he had the patience of a saint when my 6 year old niece was asking continuous questions of why. The beach shots were incredible, I can’t imagine every photographer would buy you ice creams to eat and use in your photos. I just want to start by saying thank you so much for our lovely wedding photos. James was the only wedding photographer that we met with and we knew from that initial meeting that he was the person we wanted to photograph our wedding day. We were a little apprehensive about the pre-wedding photo shoot that came with the package we got, but James assured us that it would be really helpful in getting us comfortable with him and being in front of the camera. He was SO right. The pictures were lovely and got us so excited for our wedding. We opted to have a second photographer for our wedding day - both James and Ed are such great individuals. They blended in perfectly and sometimes it was hard to forget that they were our wedding photographers and not friends who we had invited! We are so pleased that we choose James to be our wedding photographer! The price we paid for the package James offered was absolutely fantastic - it beat many other photography packages we had initially looked at. James worked with us to ensure he captured the most important shots, and to ensure that we were fully happy with the plans for the day. My husband and I were a little concerned that having our photos taken would be a little awkward but James made sure it was anything but! When we had our engagement photos done, it was honestly like going on a walk with a friend. James put us at ease and took the most amazing photos of the two of us with our daughter. On our wedding day, James was once again fantastic! At points, I completely forgot we were having wedding photos taken because we had such a laugh and he again put us completely at ease. If you’re looking for a photo booth too, I highly recommend doing this through James. It was a huge hit with both my husband and I, and with our guests. The photos that were taken are absolutely fantastic and have made our guestbook come to life! I now can’t wait to receive our wedding photos. We got married the 28th of May. The months leading up to our marriage, however, as many who are going through it surely know for themselves, were quite stressful. There's so much to do and so many little things that you have to suddenly think of that you didn't even consider before.Thankfully, picking our photographer came pretty easy. After looking through James' photo gallery I pretty much immediately fell in love with his style of photography. After sending my wife a link to the gallery I waited for her to browse a little before closing the deal with an excited "Now read the FAQs!" - I'd already read them and I was pretty much set on James as our photographer. She was convinced as well after reading the FAQs and getting an idea of what he's all about.The first meeting went really smooth, and we left with a good feeling; knowing exactly what we would walk away with as he showed us how we would get our pictures (spoilers: an online gallery of our own) with the option to get a selection professionally printed.On the day itself we hardly noticed James and Hannah as they took pictures during the ceremony and did a great job with the couples pictures with clear directions. We never really felt pressured into doing things we didn't enjoy and we just had a great time taking pictures together.If you're looking for a relaxed photographer who delivers a great service and good quality products, I would definitely recommend you go for James. James & Ed photographed our wedding on 31.05.19. We met with them before confirming our booking and it become evident to us straight away we wanted these guys as our photographers. We also had a pre-wedding shoot in the package we chose, which I would highly recommend as they had amazing pointers and put us at ease straight away before the big day. We cannot recommend these guys enough!! rather than welcoming them as our photographers, it felt like we were welcoming as our friends. As well as being fantastic photographers and extremely skilled, they are so easy going and so much fun. They were much more than 'just photographers' to us on the day and had a massive part in making the day run smoothly. James and his second photographer Ed did our wedding two weeks ago today and we honestly couldn't be happier. when first looking a lot of photographers were very expensive but we found James prices very reasonable and good value for money. on the day James and Ed fitted in so well with us that it felt like they were meant to be there and that made it not feel awkward at all. the guys made it fun while we were getting ready and was very professional the whole time. James went above and beyond helping us getting ready and holding things for the bridesmaids even becoming an honorary bridesmaid because he was that helpful!! Ed was amazing with the kids who didnt want to have photos he joined them in and made them laugh and we got some great shots from that and the kids loved him! I honestly cant put into words how amazing these guys were and they made our day even more special than it already was. James and Ed photographed our wedding last weekend and our pictures have come through a week later. They are professional yet come with a relaxed vibe which really helped us to relax and forget they were even there taking pictures of us! They both have such fun personalities making you feel like you’ve known them for years. When looking at the pictures... To say they took my breath away is an understatement. My husband and I are so blown away with how amazing their work is and it’s helped us relive the day over and over. I could include so many or their pictures that they took for us because there isn’t one I don’t love. But here’s a photo that shows their hard work and dedication to their jobs. This is James and Ed with our two children making them feel included in every part of the day. This is a picture I will hold on to dearly from my wedding day because they allowed our kids to take photos of us which encouraged them even more to play ball and get in front of the camera themselves. Spadework is a charity that provides care and training to over 90 adults with learning and other disabilities. James has revolutionised our site signage, advertising campaigns and events with his amazing photography skills. The quality of the images is second to none, capturing all of the beauty of our seven acre site in Offham and we are so very pleased with the final results. As well as shots of our site, James worked alongside our service users, capturing images of them working tirelessly in our Garden Centre, Veg Patch, Farm Shop and Café. These images are breath-taking and special credit should be given to the way in which James was able to interact with our service users and create a natural, calm and authentic environment. James’ ability to put all of our staff and service users at ease was really impressive, coupled with his ability to turn an everyday occurrence or common place scene into something magical.
