I was worried about starting counselling as I never had it before but Rochelle was really easy to talk to, she made me feel comfortable and it was easy to open up to her. I love my job because it is more than a job, its a part of who I am. I love listening to people and getting to know them on a deeper level and witnessing their change and growth. I feel honoured that my clients trust me to share their personal thoughts, feelings and experiences in order for them to become more aware and empowered to move forward and feel better within themselves. Everyone is unique and has their own personal story and experiences. As a therapist, its not my job to tell you what to do but to listen and guide you through any personal challenges, help you learn more about yourself so you feel empowered to make your own decisions and changes for a more fulfilling authentic life.

I love what I do, it gives me purpose and I wanted to focus on that full-time.

It is fundamental that you choose the right therapist for you. Starting therapy can feel daunting, even scary and make you feel anxious. I always aim to create a relationship with my clients where they feel accepted, not judged for anything they share with me and know they are doing so in a safe confidential space. Therapist have different styles and approaches. As an integrative counsellor, psychotherapist I use a blended approach that is tailored to my clients' individual needs. I will work with the here and now and may explore your past, relationships and experiences.

I work face-to-face, online and by phone. If you choose online we will meet on video platform (Zoom) or you may prefer telephone counselling.

I moved from face-to-face work to online/telephone during the lockdown, social restrictions. Now restrictions are lifting I will resume face-to-face work following the government advise.

Services

Counselling and Psychotherapy are terms used for therapy

Counselling usually refers to shorter-term work and generally focuses on a current issue that is affecting the client.

Psychotherapy usually is longer-term work and usually focuses on a deeper process for the client.

I offer psychotherapy as part of the counselling process, (this is a part of my approach when working with a client) depending on the client’s specific needs and wants.

You will not be given advice or told what to do. You will be offered a non-judgmental space where I will facilitate and support you in the process of you goals and needs, awareness and growth. I will be transparent and understanding of your therapeutic process.
