Headshot Photographers
When I spoke to Paul I told him I felt very nervous about having my photograph taken. I need not have worried because from the moment I arrived Paul welcomed me, made a cuppa and put my favourite tracks on in the background.
Pauls studio is amazing, a relaxed atmosphere comfy sofas and so much character because it is in an old mill.
I think he provides a personal service unique to each person, he takes it slow so no rushing. In fact I was there just over 2 hours!
It took a while to choose 3 photos out of over 90, a tough job for me. However the ones I chose are georgeous, I am shocked I am saying this about myself! Because I usually hate photos of me.
Paul captured the look that I wanted perfectly, I would definitely recommend him to every one, he is a lovely person & an extremely good photographer.
Thank you Paul

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
I was once told that the secret to photography is that here is no secret. Photography is an art form and you have to feel it. As much as you have to be technically competent knowing your camera and lights, when taking portraits, I find people are generally nervous in front of the camera and are never quite sure what they want. It's important to engage with your subject and help them to relax. If your relaxed and look confident then it will reflect on your subject putting them at ease.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What date do you need to book the shoot for?
What kind of images are you looking for?
Do you want me to shoot on location or shall I take the images in my studio?
How many people need their images taken?
Is there a particular ' look ' that you are trying to reflect to your customers?
What do you love most about your job?
I don't think one chooses photography, I think it chooses you. It's in your blood like music is to a musician. I love creating images and being proud of creating tangible results that benefit my clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
It's the next step of evolution to a photographer, we have a natural desire to keep taking images and improve our game. It starts from taking photographs of family and friends and then you start getting commissions. Before you know it, your in business.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have a solid foundation in photography, after studying for three years gaining a GCSE, A Level and BTEC National Diploma, I then went on to assist photographers in London for two years. Having been a photographer now for 25 years, I have gained invaluable experience fine tuning my skills. I love people as much as photography so taking portraits was a natural progression for me. I have a friendly easy going personality and I'm still very passionate about what I do. The client always comes first and I'm happy to work towards their needs giving 100% at all times.
Business portraits, headshots and creative portraiture
