Took an iPhone13 to iFix to look to repair a non-functioning screen after dropping it. They took 5 days of chasing initially stating they could fix it and in the end stating they could not. I took the phone back and took it to Apple for a 2nd opinion and it turns out iFix had swapped out my original Apple screen with a knock-off equivalent in this process hoping I would not notice the difference. The wroung part fitted to a phone, and I'm pretty sure they tried to pull a fast one. Changed it to a genuine one after complaining. Prices quoted on the phone different to in store.. Replaced front & back glass ✔️ - reasonable price but...... After getting the phone back the battery life is way less than before & the in-call speaker doesn't work + the back glass is cracked - again 😡 Response was that the motherboard is overheating. Apparently nothing to do with them even though there were no issues with the in-call speaker before they worked on it. Moral of the story - don't use them! Further to reply from owner - unable to reply on thread so added to initial review. My phone is a Samsung S20 & yes, review definitely posted against correct store - photos confirm Subsequently found out it seems to be the proximity sensor that's impacting on the in-call speaker. Yes it is cheap, however when I went there to get my phone fixed for £50 it came back constantly overheating, losing battery very quickly, extremely bad touchscreen and slow charging. I do not recommend. If you are getting your phone fixed do it somewhere else. UPDATE: they ruined my phone, it is done and gone thank you very much, they used a cheap screen and now it is gone all my ohtots and everything make sure you go to a place which can fix your screen with the official screen from the manufacture. I had a cracked screen and asked the battery to be replaced whilst i was there (as the phone was a year old) Screen is now duller than what it was before Battery now lasts significantly less than the previous. Phone also gets a lot hotter than before Phone complains these are not genuine parts despite the website suggesting genuine parts are used. Quite an expensive "fix". If you've broken your phone with a few months left on the contract - go for it. otherwise I wouldn't waste your money here. two stars as the service was OK. Asked about a lens repair on my new phone, was told yes its doable and will be 30 mins. Two attempts later and I wished I'd kept the cracked piece on there. Maybe it's because it was a new phone but I didn't think the repair was all that great. Went there to have my broken screen replaced. The guy was quick,yes,but...paid £45 to have it replaced plus £10 for a screen protector. Went back home,notice that the screen was not placed proper cause I could see the lights inside the phone,on a side of the phone(I have added a picture,if he won't delete it).went back to ask him if he can hel . First,he pretended he cannot notice the issue even though I have asked him to check it in a darker room. Second,he was just acussing me of accusing the new screen(just asked for help) and third he accused mw of coming with an existing problem and blaming him for that. When I nearly lost my s**t,he said I am agressive. Mentioned as well that he can fix it but it will cost me.
