Emma has been an absolute star for us. Not only did she stay at our house for a week when we were on holiday recently to look after our two dogs, but she has popped in to take them for walks too when my Hubby and I have been recovering after an illness. She sends us regular photo's so we can see they're OK and is very reasonably priced. I contacted Emma at the last minute after a change of plan, and the whole experience was fantastic. She took time to find out about our cat, and I felt totally at ease leaving her in Emma’s care. Emma really went the extra mile, sending us updates and making sure our cat still got her treats and kept to her usual routine. It was great to know that she was keeping an eye on the house too, moving the post and bins etc so that it wasn’t obvious we were away. We came home to a very happy cat. It has been such a relief to find Emma to help look after our pup Woody while we are at work. She is reliable, flexible and has been able to adapt to our schedule which has been changeable of late. Woody is well looked after when he is in her care and we feel content with leaving him, knowing that he will be taken on a lovely walk. We get pictures and Strava type maps of the route, and Emma always lets us know how he has been in himself. What do you love most about your job?
Being out in the fresh air, spending time with animals and making people's lives easier.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been brought up with cats and dogs all my life, having my own furbabies needing my care, love and attention. When myself and my husband worked long hours and our family was unable to help anymore, I had my own dog walker in place to ensure Max wasn't stuck in the house all day on his own. In getting more nature quality if life exceeded the demand of the corporate world for both of us (hubby is a painter/decorator) and so my pet care business was born.
