Very unsettling and dissatisfied experience with HR Oaks. The initial email communication and interaction when discussing the garden maintenance details was very professional because of which we decided to pay a premium price instead of the regular price that was being quoted by other individual gardeners who were asking for a fourth of the cost as quoted by HR Oaks . We were given the impression that a crew would come and bring the garden back to order which had overgrown over the winter months. Unfortunately it turned out to be a one man band who came with limited tools and the job done was very unsatisfactory. Among other things , when asked to prune shrubs he was reluctant to do that initially stating that would come under tree surgery . He also refused to prune bushes that were overgrowing from our side of the fence into the neighbours gardens stating that it was not our responsibility which every other gardener had done in the past as a standard . He lost temper very quickly every time you went to speak to him . When we said that we would not like to pay the full price given the work was inadequate and not in keeping with what was agreed , we were told that he would bring sticks and garden waste from elsewhere and dump it on our driveway . So in the end we did pay the agreed price only because we did not want any hassle but the fact is that we now need to get another gardener to prune the bushes further . First, depending on scoping of each job we have always our our team to help based on the scope of the work .You have asked our team to remove a big tree for free!! You never mentioned about that before! We kindly explained you that the big removal is not included. I hope you understand our team doing the job based on the spec that quoted. We bring relevant tools for each job and a big tree removal/surgery is a different type of the job that never discussed, and when they were working interrupting many times asking to do extra works for free that never discussed… We thank you again for your review and hope you understand garden maintenance is different from tree removals however this was not professional to also remove/cutting your neighbours tree (which were three meters inside their garden!) and leaving the waste that not able to collect from their garden.

These guys did a great job 2 years in a row with my garden. Their crews were courteous and staff helped provide so much needed insight into decisions.

We hired Henry Oak to do a total front and backyard renovation for both hard space and landscape. Ben organized everything and was very responsive, both with text and email during the project. We last minute decided to go drought tolerant in the front yard and had to totally change the plans. Ben was flexible and still made it happen on time. The yards looks beautiful and came out exactly as we wanted. He even designed a small pond for my water turtle, which is one my favorite parts of the yard.
