60sqm 2 storey side extension, vaulted ceilings incorporating existing loft space, structural work to existing.House Extension Wandsworth built for us a 2 storey extension to our home. We chose Peter’s company over 3 others, because of his competitive pricing, strong history of delivering to a tight timeframe, and demonstrated ability to handle non-standard works. With the project now complete, we are certain that we made the right choice – the work was completed on time and on budget, despite a number of external complications; Peter’s team managed changing structural specifications (no fault of House Extension Wandsworth, as we regrettably used out own structural engineer) as well as extreme weather conditions. As well as being genuinely lovely people, the team of builders were incredibly efficient, and every day we were able to see progress that had been made. They were able to handle everything they encountered with ease, bringing in specialists when necessary, which made a lot of difference especially on the work that involved the existing property, such as the roof, and the steel-work. The accuracy of the work has made all of the second fix work much easier.The way that House Extension Wandsworth charge made our lives easier, as all costs are broken down straightforwardly and spread across the duration of the project. Bear this in mind when comparing quotes, as unfortunately not everyone works this way.We are very happy with the finished build, and House Extension Wandsworth will be our first call for any future projects. Peter's team replaced a rather falling down conservatory, with a nice new extension. They also put in some king-sized meccano to open up the house a bit. Cost increases, and delays: The 30 day extension concept is great, we went over this for 2x reasons:- The Building control made us have bigger foundations (no moans from the team, they just got on with digging half way to Australia!)- The doors were delayed, and so they built us a very nice patio while we were waitingOtherwise 100% on time and budget!I used to enjoy the end of the conversations with Taras, they always ended "OK no problem"Tidy and considerate.I would recommend them to friends, and would use them again.. House Extension Wandsworth led by Peter supported me in undertaking a 2 bedroom, 1 roof terrace loft extension. All I can say is exceptionally positive messages for him and his team, they delivered on time, were competitive on price and flexible when changes arose throughout. The team led by his project manager Taras were always punctual and had an eye for detail, which always meant that finish was to a top quality standard. I have done numerous developments previously, however going forwards I will not be using another company, as I honestly haven’t had another team who’ve come close. For this particular job I originally only had them scheduled to complete the 1st fix, however in the end I had them do the 2nd fix, whilst also helping to build built-in wardrobes and bookcases, all of which look as though they’ve been there for years. The house now looks amazing and i would not hesitate to recommend Peter, given I work with people who are always there to answer questions and don’t shy away from a challenge.Note: I did significant research against a number of companies, however Peter came in with not just a fair price, but was transparent around what was included. Ground floor, one room extension - Colliers Wood ExtensionPeter from Wandsworth Extensions was one of four builders who quote for our work. He understood our budget limitations and did everything he could to keep costs to a minimum. My Girlfriend by this point was 7 ½ months pregnant so we were obviously a bit concerned that the work would not be finished in time. Peter estimated that it would take 4 weeks and despite some unavoidable complications with the foundations they delivered on time and pretty much on budget. The building team and Taras were outstanding. They worked 12 hours a day some days to get the work done and were so polite and respectful. Even where we had to change the spec slightly Peter was able to include this in the original budget and even where I had not bought quite the right materials (up stands for the skylights for example) they worked round this with minimal fuss.We are so happy with the result and baby is now happy in our newly extended home. Throughout the whole process all the team, Peter, the builder Taras and his team and Emma in the office were excellent, friendly, approachable, contactable at anytime and ultimately did a wonderful job that we are very happy with. We would happily recommend them.
