Alanna is reliable and very knowledgeable about dogs. She walked and minded my dog for me. It's nice to know you are leaving your dog with someone who treats them like her own.

Alanna was polite and professional in helping us with our Cockapoo’s grabbing and stealing problems. She gave us 3 useful tricks to help him and guided us with actual training while she was still in our home. We’ve used a trainer before who was way more expensive and quite frankly useless.
She has written up a comprehensive report and followed up with a couple of emails and more suggestions of how to help.
100% if we need any more help we will go back to Alanna and will definitely recommend her to any of our friends who also need help!

My dog loves his walks and I look forward to my daily photos so I can see what he’s been up to!

I have a senior Yorkie named Milly who I was nervous about letting anybody else walk. She needs to be walked alone as she can only walk very slowly. I spoke to Alanna about this and told her Milly’s requirements, a very slow quite short walk where I wanted her to be able to sniff everything as it was more to get her out of the house than for exercise. Alanna was more than happy to help and having had a senior dog herself understood my worries. She put my mind at ease and sent me photos of their walks which was lovely! She was very accommodating regarding timings, she had a few different slots that she was able to walk Milly. All in all I was very pleased with the service and felt I could trust Alanna with my dog completely. Milly can no longer go on walks, Alanna gave me updates about how her hips were doing and was always cautious about over-walking Milly. If I ever get another dog I would use Hound About Town again, and would definitely recommend their services to anyone needing a dog walker. More...

Q&A

I love that I get to spend all day with dogs! I really get to know every one of my clients and getting to know them is one of the best parts of the job. I love planning walks depending on what each dog likes and I really enjoy the training aspect of my job.

I worked for other people for a long time but the lack of flexibility was difficult for me. I really enjoy being my own boss and it certainly motivates me to work hard!

I am passionate about dogs and I take my job seriously!
