I had a leaking skylight window, called James and he came out to look the same day, gave a price and left it with me to contact him, texted him late at night to agree to price and he came the next day to complete the work. What can I say about James and his team. Fantastic. He goes ubove and beyond the job in hand . He even sorted out some other problems I had with no extra cost. he takes pictures before and after and keeps you updated on the progress and when the job is finished he will ring to make sure everything is going ok.james and his team are very plesent and nothing is to much trouble.they leave the area clean and tidy. With the recent heavy rain, I discovered that not only was my gutter at the front of the house overflowing onto next door’s property but the boards were rotten and would need replacing along with other bits and bobs. Being relatively new to this area, I didn’t know whom I should use so I did a search online, reading everyone’s reviews; I decided to phone Hollyfield Roofing and James was out that very day to look at the problem, clearly explain the issue and give me a quote. 4 days later he carried out the work, which turned out to be more awkward than he’d anticipated but he stuck to the original amount that he quoted me. Subsequent to the work being completed, there has been incessant, heavy rain and there’s not a drip. Really pleased with the work and James is such a nice, honest fella who even phoned me today to check that everything’s alright: true professional. Unless you have personal experience with any company you just don't know what they are about. Initially, I was concerned if I was dealing with 'cow boys' and u wonder if the review's are fake. However, after dealing with Jame's, I would recommend Hollyfields because they are knowledgeable, fair and trustworthy. Rang up with a leaky bedroom ceiling. Came out same day. Job completed day after. Very friendly. I ended up paying far less than I thought I would. Even rang me back after the next downpour to make sure the leak was fixed. We definitely recommend. Have now had a complete roof done We had no felt before now we have and are much warmer. I had problems with a blocked guttering, and after emailing James, he arranged to come out the next afternoon (Sunday) to see the problem and give me a quote. He not only did this but actually did the work on the spot as well as tapping down some lead flashing by my chimney that had curled up in the recent bad weather, and remortaring along the ridge, where there had been some weather damage. This included clearing a blocked downspout, clearing all my gutters - front and back of all debris, tapping down some lead flashing that had curled up in the recent bad weather, but also remortaring along the ridge that had suffered some weather damage. Our roof sustained some damage during a storm a couple of nights ago and rain water was literally pouring in! We needed an emergency roofer and fast! Being a dark, wet, Saturday evening in winter, I was holding out little hope of finding anyone that could help. We found Hollyfield Roofing on a Google search and contacted them. James was more than happy to come out and was up on our roof in no time.He managed a temporary repair for the Saturday night which stopped the water coming in, and was back onsite first thing on Sunday morning to do the full repair during the daylight. If he hadn’t attended on the Saturday evening and done the temporary repair we would have been in serious trouble. It would have been horrific!Not only was James great to deal with but he was also very determined to help resolve the problem on the night. Considering the out-of-hours call-out and the work that needed to be done, in my opinion he was more than reasonably priced. Having seen the situation we were in, I’ve no doubt many others would have picked a number and doubled it; but James was straight up and fair. We honestly cannot thank him enough.
