About

Passionate about accelerating the learning of myself and the people around me, I offer a more relaxed, friendly but focused approach to learning. After taking my A-Levels and achieving an A in Psychology and B’s in both English Language and Biology, I was keen to further my interest in English Language at Warwick University.

I was Holly’s first tutee at High School and she really helped me with my grammar and homophones. I had to get extra help with english instead of taking another language that I was sad about but Holly made it much better for me and I know she is always there to help me if I need it during my gcse’s next year and anything else

English Lessons

Holly was a tutor for my son . She was great with encouraging him to work and made sure that he passed his English Alevel with flying colours . Even when they had finished the tutoring she called him before the exam to wish him luck and checked with him after to see how it went . Would really recommend !

English Lessons

Holly has been my English tutor for nearly 3 years now. Being dyslexic, I’ve always struggled with English but Holls’ patience and persistence with me has been like a breath of fresh air. She has enabled me to keep up with my class mates, and has taught up to the desired grades in my GCSE’s! Couldn’t recommend Holly more to anyone who is looking for English support! More...

Q&As

I love watching my tutees jump from milestone to milestone within their educational journey. Giving students the chance to, not only accelerate their learning, but to gain a new passion for a subject is bar far the best part of being a tutor, and is what I aim to do with every student that I guide.

I've always found the question of 'What makes a good teacher?' an interesting one. Paying close attention to the teaching styles of the many teachers I've been taught by, one key thing that is missing throughout all subjects is the relevance and application of the textbook to everyday life. By starting my own tutoring scheme I am able to manage my time, content and relationships with my pupils to ensure that everyone I teach is getting value for money and the attention that their education deserves.

I'm an English Language student at Warwick University, and I have very current first hand experiences with the struggles that my tutees may be experiencing during their time in primary and secondary education. Due to my age and my experiences throughout the educational system fairly recently, I am able to provide a fresh and updated view that is full of energy, allowing my tutees to want to learn rather than forcing them to learn.
