We hired Hippo Catering to do a sit down meal for us as part of a hen do weekend. The food was absolutely sensational and the service was fantastic. We had 4 canapés to start, a starter, main and pudding. We had a mixture of dietary requirements as part of the party of 20 and they easily accommodated everyone. The team at Hippo helped cater a supper for a party I was planning and couldn't have been more professional or helpful. From suggesting a suitable venue, designing a creative menu, assisting with sorting some fantastic wines and even clearing up after we had left, nothing was too much trouble for Paul and the team. The food was a huge success and everyone was raving about it; definitely not an easy task to create a menu to satisfy 26 people, but they managed it! I hired Hippo Catering for my wedding and the whole experience, not just the food, was a pleasure. Paul and Huw met us at a local pub to get to know us and understand our likes and dislikes before event getting going. They created a bespoke menu with us and were extremely knowledgeable about flavours to make minor changes to get it perfect. They went above and beyond to help us create the perfect menu including a tasting session where they quickly and comfortably made tweaks based on our feedbackOn the day they did an excellent job catering canape, three course wedding breakfast and a wood fired pizza in the evening. As an added bonus they laid on cocktails which went down extremely well with the guests. All our guests commented on how perfectly everything ran and also how polite all the staff were. Most importantly the food looked and tasted absolutely incredible with an extra call out from most guest on their duck and waffle canape. It is a must!Would highly recommend to anyone who asks. My parents were so impressed they got Hippo to do my dad’s birthday which was again really excellent. Hippo Catering provided canapés and BBQ food for my 30th Birthday garden party. The canapés were absolutely delicious and everyone loved them, and the pulled pork burgers were just amazing! !!
