What do you love most about your job?
I just love being out and about in our beautiful county helping customers make the very most of their gardens, whether its with an established already well manicured garden, a new build garden, something that has perhaps got a bit out of hand or for one of the several large estates we help to care for - all of them are equally challenging in their own way.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Prior to Highland Green coming along I had worked for 25 years at the high end of the sports turf industry on many prestigious sites and projects. In the golfing world I started out as a greenkeeper for 5 years at Loch Lomond Golf Club after which I had the privilege to work on projects at St Andrews Links, Gleneagles and Turnberry Golf Clubs before turning to football stadia such as (in no particular order) Hampden, Ibrox, Celtic Park, Commonwealth Games 2014 (various sites) and even for Olympiakos in Greece. Such beauty and wonder as all of these special places and projects had I found that I was always pulled back towards Moray - a place where I had always visited on holidays as a kid and even into adulthood with my own family, and it is now a place where I proudly and happily call home

Integral to our philosophy is imparting our customers with the best of advice - this can be done either face to face or remotely via phone or email.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As gardeners we find it easy to naturally 'socially distance' within a garden setting. Our equipment is wiped down after every use, we use more gloves than ever, either nitrile for certain tasks or various types of safety glove dependant on the task. We have accelerated our 'paper-less' ambitions by changing the way we invoice our customers to on-line and regular monthly payments.

Adapted and developed from the greenkeeping world this regular feed, weed and condition program keeps your lawn fit! Our fertilisers and other specialist products are all organic based.
Scarifying & Aeration
Essential annual maintenance for your lawns these services remove thatch, moss and other build up.
Hedges & Trees
Beech, Leylandii, Hawthorn, and Privet hedges etc all catered for as well as ornamental & fruit tree pruning, shaping and thinning, crown reduction and structural work.
Slab Cleaning
Clean, smart and looking good again we can clean your slabs, patios and paths giving them a refreshing make-over.
Gardening & Mowing
We help to make gardens look good. One-off or regular maintenance, lawn mowing and edging, clear downs etc.
