I came back to Two Lions because of the exceptional workmanship I experienced last year. However all that has been dashed in one fell swoop, by the receptionist this morning. Last week I booked for a kitchen fitter survey,the cost I was told would be £25 and if I was happy with the quote, the £25 would be knocked off, the actual job.I booked for today, between 0900-1000 hrs. I called to check how long they would be. To my disgust I was told they're out on another job and would be with me as soon as possible. I had to draw breath and asked why was I told last week what would be my preference as to what time they were to come out.The woman was so argumentative, saying that it wasn't set in stone when they'd come come out and if I didn't like it, I could choose another day.I said no, just forget it. Absolutely appalling experience with Two Lions- be very wary of this company. Over 4 months of stress & upset, terrible quality workmanship, antagonistic and unresponsive customer service and a complete lack of responsibility for the people they employ. ££££s of pounds down though Two Lions FULLY acknowledge that the job is of a rubbish standard we have had absolutely no compensation or apology for the service we have received or what we are left with but rudeness, hostility and the completely outrageous accusation that it is our fault because we didn't keep a closer eye on their new employee (we had no idea he was new and obviously assumed he was vetted and up to standard as they had hired him and let him work unsupervised!).So done in by the whole horrible experience & no energy to keep fighting but Trading standards have logged the case so if anyone has/does sadly have a similar experience it is definitely worth logging one too as it builds evidence on how they operate. If you ever plan to make a beautiful affordable henna with only natural ingredients Ruby is the perfect person to contact. The atmosphere while henna was done was amazing lots of useful information how to look after henna. The two men who worked for us fitted eleven internal oak doors in one day - working none stop from the moment they arrived, and turned up at 9am on the dot as promised. Communication beforehand was very reliable and helpful. They were very friendly - and patient when we realised no hinges had been sent by the door company! - and also the tidiest tradesmen I’ve ever come across! The standard of work was excellent and I’m so so grateful for the time they’ve spent making sure everything was done properly. What an amazing job they did hanging my 2 internal glazed doors. Joined my builder .com at 09:00 today. Within 1 hour received quote. Excellent amount. Managed to fit me in between jobs and my doors were hung by 5:30. Fantastic man with more tools than i have ever seen on any job. Doors hung with precision and look quality. Nikolay and his team are always punctual and are very efficient. They complete tasks very quickly. For us they moved furniture, erected rotary dryers, shaved wood off doors, built an airing cupboard, fixed a shower and cleared a garage that was full of rubbish. Stan was particularly helpful.
