We held our wedding reception at The Walnut Tree in Yalding in July 2021.
We communicated with Ali Penn throughout the lead up to the wedding and couldn't fault her or her staff on the day.
Ali decorated the marque and tables, the BBQ was fantastic, the service and attention to detail was perfect.
She was committed to delivering to everyone's needs.

How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Three key professionals within our business, all from different backgrounds of catering have designed our pick and mix menus. So whilst designed by Matt our Exec Chef, products sourced by Master Butcher and head of procurement, wine & beer paired by Ali. We believe the customer still gets to choose. After all it's your event and you should be able to eat and drink as you feel suits your guests. I hope our menus make you salivate.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Hengist Out & About is a business build in lockdown, a business driven off our restaurant The Hengist in Aylesford, Kent. Why did we start it? We had a great formula and C19 gave us time to build what we love to do.
