For many years I suffered with severe eczema on various parts of my body, waiting patiently for the prescription medications to do their job, which sadly for me, never worked. I made a decision to seek out nutritional therapy having spoken to a few friends who had experienced success with it. Hadia was easy to talk to, calm, kind and understanding. Over the course of just a few weeks, she helped to educate me on nutrition and food and the link between what I eat, the health of my liver, and the ultimate effect that has on my skin and eczema symptoms. I am happy to say that for the first time in my life, my eczema is either non existent or at a manageable level and it is empowering for me to know I can take control using nutrition rather than relying on prescription meds. I contacted Hadia to address a recurring issue with my lower back that I couldn’t seem to shake off. I had been to see my GP and an osteopath, but only short term fixes were found that didn’t provide a long term solution. Having had no experience with a nutritionist before, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Hadia’s gentle and understanding approach told me I was in good hands straight away. Hadia is very thorough, and through a detailed consultation and looking at the complete background to my health, she quickly identified some root causes for my muscular issues and give me a plan to alter my nutritional intake to remedy them.

I would and do recommend Hadia to anyone with health concerns of any kind, as not only was my initial issue sorted, but I have improved my overall health through her advice and guidance.

Q&As

Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food..
As Hippocrates stated, the concept of nutritional therapy is simple; use food to heal. The best thing about using food as medicine is that it tastes good. One of the lesser points is that it involves patience- it is not designed for those that expect a quick fix. Be prepared to commit to small but sustainable changes, with food and lifestyle.

A key thing to understand about the effect of good or bad nutrition is that a difference rarely shows itself overnight. Nutrients, or the lack of them, can take weeks, months, and years to show significant physiological effects in the body. Every cell in the body is influenced by the quality of food that we provide it with. Making good quality cells, tissues, and organs relies on our bodies being given the highest grade ingredients. This means that your current state of health will have taken months, years or even a lifetime to develop. This is why it's important for the therapist to take a full medical history in the initial consultation. Once a comprehensive picture has been built, a better understanding of the root of your symptoms can be gathered, which will ultimately help in the healing process.

Nutritional therapy is a process whereby the patient is educated and guided by the practitioner to better understand how the food they eat is affecting everything, from the way their skin and hair looks to the direction their thoughts naturally flow.

The best thing by far about this job is having the opportunity to get to know my clients and to hear about their experiences. I am fascinated and curious about others and I enjoy the therapeutic aspect of my work - it gives me great reward.

I started my business upon qualifying as a nutritional therapist as it fits in well around my interests and lifestyle. I have always been passionate about health and wellbeing and the principles of holistic medicine have been present in my subconscious since I was a child. I also work with disadvantaged young people, as well as having various creative endeavours in painting and textiles, however being a nutritional therapist provides me with the opportunity to connect with people in a way my other endeavours don't.

Once you have spoken with me, be it in person, by phone, or online, I believe you will instantly feel at ease, and in good hands.

I'm experienced, knowledgeable and passionate about health and nutrition and every one of my clients has described me as easy to talk to. I have a positive and generous approach to my work with clients.

All of my sessions are available online via Zoom or in person for clients living locally.

Online Zoom sessions are available as standard and for anyone with concerns about virus transmission.

Services

Hadia offers one to one consultations via Zoom (or face to face if you live locally to Brighton). The initial consultation is a substantial element of the process and is split over a three week period to allow enough time for Hadia to gather your life story - both emotional and physical, so that she can put together a bespoke protocol based on this detailed understanding of her clients.

- Before attending your appointment, Hadia will ask you to complete a food diary and to list your key health concerns/ reason for seeking out nutritional therapy.

- During the first three sessions, Hadia will make a detailed timeline of your medical history, including your family history. This will enable her to get a good understanding of how you have arrived at the state of health you currently have.

- Taking into account your key health concerns, Hadia will work out a protocol which will not overwhelm you and can be realistically assimilated into your daily routine and will email it to you shortly after your appointment.

- A follow up appointment will be booked within 4 weeks of the initial assessment to look at your progress on the new protocol and potentially make additional changes and suggestions.
