Our wedding was a small and intimate one, surrounded by family and only a handful of friends. Thus, I was very apprehensive about inviting a stranger to capture those intimate moments. We booked Helen on the spot after meeting her at a wedding show, and she did not disappoint. Her communication with us on the lead up to the wedding was amazing. I was a 56 year old bride to be who hated having her photo taken and if I could of got a stand in I would. The first email from Helen was so personal and she clearly understood my anxieties. She came to our home in person with pictures and albums and to get to know us. She suggested a visit to the wedding venue to get a feel for where she thought good pictures could be taken and whether we wanted particular arears to have pictures taken. We discussed and looked at arears inside and outside of the venue with UK weather being unpredictable. We booked Helen a year before our wedding which was on 14 April 2022 and within that year she kept in regular contact and by the time the day came along she was a friend which made me feel so comfortable when it came to her taking the pictures on the day and i can truly say i enjoyed every minute as did my now husband and the pictures spoke for themselves. Helen is absolutely phenomenal at what she does. We met lots of photographers before Helen, and the only way I can describe our first meeting, was like we had known her all along. She was warm and full of personality! She always kept us informed with what was going on and what needed to be done. On the morning of the wedding- she was my saviour! Whilst getting ready, she was already on top of preparing the shots she knew I wanted. You wouldn't even know she was there, half the shots I was unaware she had taken, and the raw emotion she captured was amazing. Both the posed, and candid angles look beautiful. Seeing how full of life Helen is, it's clear to say that on my wedding day, she became a part of our family, and consequently, a part of our wedding. And I'm extremely grateful to her for that.
